I have one of these, got it mid January 2005. Cost me £35 on contact with o2 (£30 per month with 200 free mins and 50 free txts) I really like it, although some of my friends have said it looks more like a mp3 player. It's definatly a womans phone, guys larger hands would probably find it difficult to use the dial to text etc. To use this phone for text messages takes some getting used to but after having the phone for a few weeks I'm having no difficulty texting quite quickly. The screen that changes to a mirror is great for doing makeup (said it was a girls phone didn't I) My boyfriend wouldn't be seen dead with this phone but I love it and would reccommend it

If texters are lamers... what are chatters then? What's the internet these days? Just surfing for info? Tell me who doesn't has ICQ or Messenger these days? I think the person who said texters are lamers should be the one that needs to grow up!

Good to see someone agrees with me. I don't like texting, I'd prefer to talk to someone on the phone and catch up with them. Saying 'LOL' in a text is the lamest thing I have ever seen in my life, I'd rather hear someone laugh than to see an abreviation of laughter... I can see texters at parties 5 years down the track saying "OMG LOL!!" at peoples jokes.
Grow up!

I Got the 7280 yesterday after previously owning a Nokia 8910i as with my last purchase i got this phone for the styling more than anything, the 7280 without java makes this phone very simple and operationally basic, which is the whole point this phone isnt aimed at those who want to send dozens of text per day and certainly not aimed at those who want any kind of PDA functionality it simply doesnt have that, but if your like me and have a phone book full of every number you ever call then its great select the name and call, better yet use voice dial which works great, the construction is pretty good in my opinion but its plastic so time will tell.. i'm used to a titanium phone so i will just get used to the difference in construction, visually its great a real statement does show fingerprints with the glossy surface though. all in all i'm impressed so far...

Though the Nokia carkit 610 is compatible, it's impossible to pair the 7280 with it, because the time you get to fill in the 16-digit pincode on your 7280 is just 15 seconds. After trying to beat the time about 10 times i gave up....

I don’t like 7280 because Nokia does nothing with a high quality, but as for V3 it is the same hapless phone with unfinished design, there was only one good phone from moto V70 and one from Nokia 8910i. Specking about 7280 I think it is better to buy a Haier P7. Actually there are no luxuriously designed phones excepting Vertu on the market. I was expecting V3 or 7280 to become one, but first one doesn’t look good enough for me (unfinished design, keyboard looks strange, in closed position the phone looks a little bit ugly) the second one (7280) looks crappy and cheap.

To past k700i owner
Dont leave posts when you dont have a v3 and dont know wat its like to own 1. You obviously need glasses/stronger ones, i suggest that book an appointment with specsavers because u cannot see the v3 for the beauty that it is. Why do u think all the stars go 4 it? Jordan & peter andre, gwen stefani! As an owner of my fab v3 i have 2 say that its one of the best mobiles ive ever had, and ive had the lot - nokias, samsungs, sony ericssons siemens. It is just simply stunning! The 7280 is so crap, i tried it in the shop and found it difficult 2 use and IMPOSSIBLE 2 text and i came home a happy v3 owner if not a little freaked out at paying £500 for it. But i dont regret it, it attracts the girls as well. Get the Moto V3 Razr! DONT GET THIS CRAPPY IMPRACTICAL 7280

Although I don't have the money to buy this phone, I would buy this phone over the v3 any day.
V3:
1)stupid unreliable keypad
2)although it's thin, it's very long and big
3)5mb memory? that is a joke.
4) quad-band seems to be the only good feature.
P.S: I would be more satisfied with my past k700i than the v3 which cost half its price. hahaha
7280 sounds good

Okie... I have had enough of this phone for a week... It's driving me nuts with it's functions which are not practical at all... It cost me almost an arm and an leg to get it being attracted to well... something unusual... I learned my lesson now... pffff
