Hi all, is it possible to perform firmware upgrade on 7390 ourself?
And whenever I switch my phonebook to "Phone" only, after sometime it will auto switch to "Phone and Sim". Is this a bug on 7390? Is this normal on nokia phone? Or just my unit?
Thanks.

I do need expertise or assistancein this issue below:
How to increase the flip tone when opening or closing the flip? The tone is kinda inaudible when setting to nokia's provided themes. But when i change to my personal theme, there's totally no tone upon opening or closing the flip.
Thanks in advance.

Re: But may I know where is the light sensor situated? Cant seem to identify its location...
THe light sensor is located right above the 2nd VGA camera (front camera from video call).
RE: backlight keep on "brighting" and "dimming".
Sorry, unable to help u on this. Perhaps you can right in to nokia careline to see if they are able to assist you. Jus afriad at the end of the end, they ask u to bring ur phone for service and let the technicians to solve your problem if possible.
RE: use speakerphone with the phone closed?
Sorry, perhaps i did not elaborate properly. You are unable to answer incoming call thru speakerphone. But u can talk throgh speakers with the phone closed if you settings are correct.
If you mentioned that when the phone is closed. Only able to reject call... Then it means ur settings are set in a way that you reject a call when ur fold is closed...

Hi, thanks for your reply. But may I know where is the light sensor situated? Cant seem to identify its location...
[[ Yes, I do experience them too. But this happens when...You are actually not using the phone, and you just flip open the hp, for that short moment, the light is dim.. After 5 secs later, the backlight will brighten back. However, i was wondering if this is to to the power saver that i have set it to.]]
Hi, thanks for your reply. Hmmm sad... feel its abit annoying when I was using the phone and the backlight keep on "brighting" and "dimming". As far as I know power saver is to show the clock on external display when the phone is in standby mode. if sleep mode turned on, the external screen will be total blank.
[[Are you able to use speakerphone with the phone closed?
Yes, if settings are right, whereby did not set to "off" under call settings "Answ. if fold opened".]]
Hi, I tried your way but cant seem to answer incoming calls when the phone is closed. Only able to reject call...

To all 7390 users: Do anyone here experience screen dimming problem even when you are actively using the phone? For my case when I'm actively using the phone, the screen light can suddenly become dimmed then after a while it brighthen again. And this happens regularly too. Is this normal on 7390 or its just me only?

hey guys, i'm interested in this phone but i wanna know the disadvantages before buying.i have seen the real life model at nokia store and i find the size of the phone a bit big... does anyone else think so?
Erm, if you talk about disadvantages, depending on what are your preferences. For me, I used to hold n70. But currently holding 7390. N70 has got 2 camera which can capture still images. However, as i thought 7390 has 2 camera, therefore i assume 7390 could use 2 camera to capture still images. But I was wrong, i only realised till i bought the hp that only the back camera can be used to capture still images and not the front camera. The front camera is mainly for video calls only. Guessed it all boils downs to what are your preference. Say the saying goes, there is no best of both world. =) But be frank, overall this is a above average phone. With 3G, bluetooth, video shooting, 3px cam, media player, music player & more. I think with this, one should be contented. Heehee....

Couple of questions
Are you able to use speakerphone with the phone closed?
Yes, if settings are right, whereby did not set to "off" under call settings "Answ. if fold opened".
What is the audio volume like for ringtones?
Sounds tunes are loud... Of cos, there are soft tunes too. Different ppl, different preferences. Some soft tunes are barely inaudible even if volume level gone to the max.
How long does the battery life last? couple of days? half week? week? (with maybe a few calls a day)
Depending on individual usage i guessed. Erm, for my case, hardly make phone calls ( as you mentioned a few calls with short talk time) & mid usage of SMS, it could last me for 2 and half days. But charging kinda long. Could took up almost 3 hrs,
