Great phone, have one problem though. I dropped the phone, sent it in to my service provider and to Nokia. They retured the phone saying it has internal track damage and that its beyond economical repair. Any suggestions????

1 thing i can say is that this fone is 1 of the best, it lack only wi-fi i'd been using this for 17 months now n still working fine. 1 gb mmc is the suitable one. i'd installed alrady almost 600 mp3's o it recommended site is 4ever7710.googlepages.com.

Important resume
Nokia 7710 very nice. 1. Problems may ocure when you tray to work it like pentium 4, so do not. the phone has a CPU that works at 150mhz, so it is more like Pentium 1, do not try to run a lot of aplications on it at the same time and do not play with buttons while in process (hangs) let it finsh the firs operation. ROM (internal disk) can not be corupted so do not let others take yours money for nothing. Instal the programs that you need for normal operation. Pico drive can hang your fone so you will think it is dead but is not. HARD RESET rules, the aplications that you did instal on MMC will still be there if you remouve the MMC when using a hard reset. So think obout it, I did it this way, on 128MB stuff for usual use working stuff and on MMC 1GB fun, music, films, games, any taime it start a hang Hard reset (once in 4 months when a kid play with it) so that is it folks. Nice day.

to zane: im sorry to say this but you encountered the same problem that i did with my phone... your phones hard drive is corrupted... maybe you kept installing programs in your phone thats untrusted... it can still be fixed but the cost is as the same price of your phone... so i suggest that you buy another 7710.. i have many programs installed in my 7710 when i still have it... got pico drive and lots of games in it... the only regret is that i abused my phone by installing unimportant programs... my advice is that when you upgrade your phone their is 50/50 chance of failure... but if your really sure that your phones memory is not corrupted then go for the upgrade... when the upgrade is done the original factory settings will be restored and new applications will be installed... and your chance of encountering phone hang is 4% out of 100%... and your phone becomes more faster... im planning to get another 7710 even if its a second hand... the phone is great... and im contented with it... and may i add... if u want programs for your 7710.. just go to yahoo groups... and sign in... and search for 7710... then a lot of groups of n7710 users will appear with lots of cool programs... BUT BEWARE... INSTALL AT YOUR OWN RISK... ciao guys.. just send me an email if you have and inquiry about 7710 ok... i hope i can help you... love your phone... use it... dont abuse it...

i got this phone october 2006... it was very cool then... but beware... do not keep on installing different softwares in your 7710... because of my carelessness i damaged the hard drive of my 7710... then it kept on shutting off... and it always freezes... this phone is very good... it surpassed my expectation... my advice to you guys is take care of your 7710... do not abuse it... do not install unimportant programs... i think you should reformat or upgrade your phones version at any nokia service center... so that viruses will be deleted in your phone... i dont know what kind of program damaged my phone... thats why i sold it immediately... before i sold it i went to nokia... i was hoping they could fix it... but they told me that my phone was beyond economical repair... and it was considered a deadset...

Boyz why is it written that the camera has 1 MP when on NOKIA they say it has 1.3 MP ???

This is a mind blowing phone with high specifications which are needless to mention.. Better than many other Nokia phones and one of the world's best Touch Screens.. But one problem was there I couldnt find any software upgrade... Very few softwares and themes available for it due to its big screen... But even though I loved this one... Buttttttt :( :( :( This cell got dead due to water logging :(:(:(:( They say the LCD is gone... It wud take $140 to repair.. The cell phone costs $360... and now its resale value is not even $100 even if I repair it with $140 :(( :(( :(( :((

HARD RESET
turn off the pocket calkulator *nokia7710
take out the batery for like 30 sekundos
switch on while holding E und *I et I. buttons
then you weel recive the message like
you wonna erase everything
and that is it

Hi
My 7710 is running alot slower than it used to. I have taken out the MMC card (I use a 1 GB) to se if that was the cause but its not. I tried *#7370* to try and reset it and it did not help.
People talk about hard reset, soft reset can someone describe the procedure for these

Wery fine gadget, any problems while working zou can fix evan without hard reset using a task spy program and kill proces. Extra phone, MMC 1 GB you need to use format user area to make it work, speed is quite fine and i use a cheep MMC

Hi. I had given my 7710 for a firmware upgrade and while flashing the upgrade stopped at 39 % sayin MCU ERROr and my 7710 went dead. Now this nokia service centre guy sent it to a Level 3 service centre for repair. Can please someone help me on this . Will my phone be repaired? Please help me
