Hey folks... The 7710 is arguably the best mobile phone there ever was. All the negative reviews one hear are from ppl who doesn't understand this marvel at all. They should've taken some time to explore it's possibilities before coming out with such openions.. The 7710 has the best sound output among all mobile phones out there... Terrific touchscreen. I'm on an unlimited GPRS plan, and spends all my free time surfing from the phone. Hasn't come across any other pnone.. yet, which can offer such a pleasent internet surfing experience. And i love the contact options, the unlimited phone book capacity.. This phone of mine can sure rivel some yellow pages out there.. it's so loaded with contact info. I bought the phone for about Rs 21000 around an year back.. and now this model is no longer available. All my friends are so keen to get this same model for themselves, but alas, not even pre-owned ones are easily available anymore. Some even offered me the same price i bought this for to induce me into selling this to them! Come what may, I'm not going to.. no way.I use a 1 GB mmc on my 7710. Works like a breeze. Folks, please let me know one thing...Can one use higher capacity cards, like 4 GB ones for example? Pls post your reply or e-mail me. Thanks in advance...

1] I am gettin "general memory full close some application message" while downloading yahoo attachments elseware i am able to download almost any thing
Do you have any solution for "general memory full error"
2] can you give a few names of workin ROM's for picodrive "i ws able to load some excillent roms like UMK3,MORTALCOMBAT-5,X-men2,Sonic.. But failed to find the start button for them,n Larger Roms above 3mb were givin the same"general-memo-full-error"
3] whats the latest version of TCMP any Url or homepage of tcmp
4] what happned to mobilejunkyard ?
my firmware is 4.10, n internal memory is 80 mb free

I'm using a kingston 1GB and it's working fine. :) TCPMP rocks! I do not have to lower the framerate. :) just remember when converting with xilisoft, do not use "letterbox", use "Keep aspect ratio". Here's the settings I use.
320x140
Aspect Ratio: 2
Bitrate: 256
Frames: Auto
Audio: 48kbps
Sampling: 22050
Stereo
and the vids play like on the pc. :) I'm watching movies like Ghost and Bruce Allmighty with my phone, I've also wathced a few Hunter x Hunter vids and X-men evolution with this settings and believe me, it just works. The only problem with tcpmp is that plugging in the headset does not mute the loudspeaker. :)

hey guys i bought this fone for mp3,images and vids...love the screen...i posted earlier about how to convert vids through xilisoft and play thorugh tcpmp player,just seach megh in the search box and u guys wud know how to convert only thing i wannaa tell u guys dat d resol incase 320*140 sticks while u play...den chill out now...i have the solution use 320*120 if d vid still sticks which happend in 1 uot of 19 vids which i converted den u can use 320*100 resol just keep the rest same as i wrote in my earlier post....guy only use tcpmp for vids...smartmovie and viking both suck..soo chillax guys and have fun just keep posting incase u have anyother ideas or views

i bought the 7710 second hand (Php 10,000). I love this phone. I bought it even though there are lots of negative feedbacks on it. I had it for 3 days now, and i dont have any regrets on buying it.
has anyone tried using a memory card greater than 512Kb? Coz i really would like to purchase a 1Gb or 2Gb memory card so that i can store more music. tnx!

the latest firmware for europe is 4.10.
i have a 1 gig kingston.
there is a full screen keypad that can be changed from horizontal to vertical.

nokia has stopped making this phone.it is hard to find a new nokia 7710..i think new nokia 7710 costs between rs 16500-17800.

There's an onscreen keyboard and a writing area for handwriting recognition. Text entry is quite a breeze once you get familiar with either of the two. :) Hope this helped.

hi Its amandeep from India I used many phones but i found it the best in the class having many features by which it can beet the phones of higher range ,But i can definately says that by adding some features Nokia Wll rank it best phone of NOKIA

I bought mine 2 weeks ago! By far, it has indeed surpassed all negative reviews that I've read. They say it's slow, heck, I just used to have an ngage and it was slow - But it was the best s60 phone for me :)
I've had several hang ups with this phone, but it was my fault, I opened too many apps at once. This phone is great for reading pdfs on the go, watching movies with tcpmp, playing puzzle games (jewelrumble, marble maniac, etc. java games), and the themes rocks (toddler, grafitti, nothing beats the default theme though).
I once had the battery left discharged for half a day and it only cost me 2 mins bootup when I charged it, then it went back on when I kept the plug in. :)
The only problem I had with this is finding a good screen protector... partly my fault since I used to buy them for 60php (roughly $1.10) and these cheap lcd protectors either have weak adhesives or get scratched easily by the stylus. I'll be getting a new lcd protector this weekend and I hope to get a good cheap one. I just hope that Nokia inlcuded a good screen protector for this phone, the LCD being bare just scares me to death. :)
