I have noticed that the option to set as background image is available on firmware V4.10 but in V4.01 not having this option why so plz anybody tell me how to set background image on V4.01 . The camera resolution of both versions are same (1280 * 960) but in previous version the resolution of camera is (1152 * 864) why these difference are in these firmware Versions. please ifanybody have knowlegde about this plz help me.

    @neet: you can find out the firmware version by tapping the following in the "telephone":

    *#0000#
    As soon as you enter these digits it'll show a dialog box saying:

    1.Your firmware version(e.g: V 04.01.0)
    2.The date(e.g: 23-05-05)
    3. RM-12
    4.(c)Nokia

    If you want to upgrade your firmware,you'll have to go to a Nokia care center and just tell them you want to upgrade your firmware and they'll do it absolutely free(if your phone is under warranty),if not, then they'll charge u a nominal amt..

      Today only i bought Nokia 7710 & im unable to figure out firmware of my cell. Can anyone tell me how can i get the information about current firmware version. if possible also let me know from where can get latest firmware?

        the worst thing bout nokia 7710
        is that you have to hold it by width
        not length and you canot rotate the screen
        to read on the longer side you can read
        only on the shorter side

          You can use AD-15 adapter, it works perfectly fine with my 7710.

          However, I am thinking if HS-20,AD-41 can work with 7710, it is the same adapter supplied with 3250, and it comes with a remote for playing mp3.

                hey all u 7710 owners... what's the best mmc card brand for 7710? transcend? sandisk? or kingston? and also will the dv rs mmc will work on 7710? thanx in advance.

                  Does opera is the default browser on N7710,nokia provide 3.5mm adapter AD15 it will works on N7710 or not plz do tell me,if anybody have this accessory.Thanks in advance

                      -Internet speed 236.8kbps(EDGE)
                      -Yes you can use pop3 with outlook
                      -Can view (and average editting)MS word and excel
                      -You can connect to PC/Laptop via provided data cable(USB)
                      -Can set mp3 as ring tone(save the ring tone in the device not in MMC)



                      Way to go megh.I also pointed out earlir to someone about the superority of N7710 over p910............

                        Hi Every Body,

                        I am going to purchase some big screen set like this, i like 7710 to get but before getting it, I want to confirm about running of internet on this coz i need that too much. I want to run MS Outlook as POP3, MS Word & .XLS Files for my docs.

                        Can some body tell me about the internet speed on it and can i set some .MP3 as ring tone.

                        Can i connect that to my PC or Laptop through USB Port or Other.

                        I shall be very thankful if some 1 guide me for that if that is using and have good note for that.

                          hi
                          i have a nokia 7710. i am not able to use Yahoo messenger on my phone. When i was using nokia 6600, i was able to log in to messenger, however, when i use the same link on my 7710, i am not able to log in to messenger. can you suggest what i can do.

                            10)p910i has not edge 7710 has got 236.8kbps
                            11)p910i has no HSCSD 7710 has got HSCSD
                            12)p910i has v1.1 bluetooth and 7710 has v1.2

                              Guys i am writing coz i feel strongly about this..
                              Why on earth is any sony p910i user posting here...??????
                              Secondly now i wanna write abotu someone who can think for himself
                              1)p910 i has a 0.65 mp camera..7710 has 1.23...double the clarity..though both dont have night mode..and p910i cant take any images in the dark,7710 can take some kinda picture in the dark
                              2)screen display resolution of p910i is 208 х 320 and 7710 has 620*320...now can u imagine how much of a difference in screen clarity is.
                              3)the screen is any day larger than 7710
                              4)7710 supports 15 fps in full screen and p910i has 12.5 fps in fullscreen..(with core media player it playes at 25 fps on 7710...try it and then u would go crazy)
                              5)7710 has a 1500mah battery and p910i has 1000 mAh battery
                              6)the handwriting recognition in 7710 beats p910i hollow..i can challenge any one about this
                              7)nk 7710 is cheaper than p910i and its a nokia not sony...
                              8)with images you can zoom only 2 times max in p910i but with 7710 4 times.dats at any resolution image
                              9)u dont hvae profiles in p910i and u have profiles in 7710...
                              I could comment on p910 i bcoz my best friend has the p910i phone and i a 7710..its not cz i have nokia...coz what is good is nokia 7710.....
                              Would u buy a p910i agains 7710 now???

                                hey dude..proboard is dead...even i loved that place..it had a lot of ausum stuff der....feel lost without it..for all you guys who dont know...please upgrade to the firmware 4.10 coz the camera gets upgraded to 1.23 mp. and the video recording does get a lot smoother..along with that it closes apps if we press the bottom most key on the right side for 5 secs around...and i would advice all you guys to load core media player tmpgc dats the video player for your phone it playes vids with ausum smoothness and brilliant quality..trust me..25 fps is wot its supports...use xilisoft to convt.. 320*140..with 25 fps and bitrate 300 or plus...and audio 32bit and 24000sample rate..and use profile "xvid movie"...install that codec on the pc..and i am telling u guys u gona make the whole world "J"..coz the video quality beats p910 hollow...or any series 60 phone..well i felt like contributing this and leting alll 7710 users know about it

                                    hey i do have a 7710 right now,picodrive already installed... but the problem is i don't know what is a picodrive? all i knew regarding this thing is it does help minimize the memory used by the phone in a particular time... but what are the other details about picodrive??? pls share... tnx in advance

                                        I just own this phone. It is well far better as I heard about it. It is awesome. Its features are very cool. It looks yummi but it is little bulky. But due dust its screen get some scratches. I am lack of sortware relate to this hot stuffy, if you have any cool then mail it to me.
