I have just upgraded my phone to V 4.01 here in the philippines. I am excited to see the results but, i cannot find any changes in the config/settings. is there any way to check the specific details of changes for upgrade of the new version from old one?

Does anyone know how to enter a phone number while on call? In the other phones, you just type in the number on the keypad and it stays on screen even after the call is over. Do we have soemthing like that here?

R, just enter *#0000# in the screen and it'll show you the firmware version of your device..Thats it.

how do u no if it has the upgraded firmware and if it hasn't how much does it cost to upgrade and is there one near rochdale

It is not slow and does not hang. I have firmware 4.50 and I use switcher regularly, and the phone has been faultless since.

So, just got this cellphone, and though I liked lots of stuff on it, the thing is: it's slooowwwww....
I was really hoping that 150Mhz would be fast enought for me to load some good Flash stuff and play it on the opera browser.. but no way.
It's like trying to play 3D game like Battlefield with a 8Mb Video Card or something.
Very very bad, a complete disapointment. Why did Nokia announce the Flash capability if it can't play any Flash movie correctly?
If you have any tips to tweak this cellphone, firmware updates or stuff like that, please point it out!
I read lots of posts and already knew that the cellphone had a very slow processor compared to other cellphones, but I didn't think it would be THIS slow.
My warning to all those who are wanting to buy a 7710: It is slow. And it hangs.

do the new models come with upgraded firmware and if they don't how much does it cost, how do u no, can u watch tv or mobile video in the uk on vodafone and is there a function called push to talk, also to what extent can the camera be upgraded to and what type of music formats and video can this phone support, can u rip them straight of a cd and what is the memory capisty of the amount of songs this fone can, u talk throught it sidewards don't u and does it have a bigger screen the the sony erricson p910i

@ De|toR - No it's like anyo other handset, yo don't talk holding it sideways ...
@ AVI - I only have the 7710, it does not support 3G like the 6680/1 , I knew that when I bought it. Decide on what features you need, if it's 3G you are looking for then I'd say 6680/1
@ R - I highly and severely doubt there'll be a 7710I , as this was the first and last commercial Series 90 phone according to Nokia. But who nows maybe if they decide to add WiFi or 3G.

Search for "switcher" within this forum...switcher is an program that will close any unnecessary application.. Just like we have "task manager" in our computer.

i just bought a new 7710. and beleive me its one of the best buys.. although its little difficult to carry as u need big pockets to keep this set but it almost give a feel of laptop in your palm..the best part is the internet surfing u just feel like having a small computer in hand..

i just purchased the nokia 7710 and it ROCKS!!!!!! its got gr8 sound and video quality and super functionality. but can someone pls tell me how to close applications before exiting. as of now im just clicking on menu key and getting back to desktop. How do i properly exit applications?????

so with memory that it comes with, how many songs can u upload approx and what kind of file format can it support as in mp4, wma, e.c.t
is it easy to rip out music from a cd and transfer them to the phone and how do u watch live tv and does it work in the uk,
also is it better than the SE W800i, and so the models that are coming out now, do they have upgraded firmware them and an 1.3 mp camara, how are u meant to know, does it say it on the box, and where's is the nearest nokia centre in rochdale and also r u sure it's free to upgrade the firmware
