tanks Witchking...I've found the mistake...but, as you said, many roms are not recognised by EEMAME. my version is 1.11 for nokia 7710.

I have mame working fine on my 7710. Firstly, make sure you download the mini eemame for the 7710 and NOT the old full version which is not stable. Secondly, make sure you install Mame to the DEVICE and not the MMC card (or it wont find the virtual keyboard as that is hard coded to look on C). Thirdly, make sure the ROMS are stored as ZIPS on c:\Mame\Roms (where C: is device). Fourthly, not all zips/Roms will be recognised by EEMAME as it is based on an old version of MAME. That being the case, you may need to rebuild your ROM files. That gets a little more complex and I have yet to mess with it (check harmonicode.com). Lastly,EEMAME is currently small screen. I'm aiming to resolve this in conjunction with Staffan, but it will take me some time as I have a lot of learning to do, despite being a developer.

As for stylus's. The manual says dont use anything else, but as long as its not sharp, you should be okay. I use my fingers most of the time anyway.

I love the screen, and the way I move from camera to images to sketch program. I have a little trouble inputting text - haven't tried handwriting recognition yet though.

Is it really dangerous to use any stylus but exactly the one that came with the Nokia 7710? It will be awhile before I receive replacements in the mail.

              Thanks, Mike

The phone uses the normal (old) style mmc and not dual voltage mmc like the latest nokias...which is good as its a lot cheaper.

Picodrive: Ensure you have named the file for your Roms as PDGames as it is case sensitive. In your post, it is not clear you have done that.
Mame: Ensure you install MAME on the Device and not the MMC card. Also, Mini emame is currently the advised MAME for the 7710.
Attaching clips: There is no where on the phone to attach a clip. You could maybe do it on the speaker vents, but it could crack and it would hang funny.
Speaker: The 7710 has a loudspeaker and it is adequate. It is not imo loud and when outside near traffic and listening to mp3's I struggle to hear it. In doors, its fine.

For those of you looking for accessories for the 7710 then take a look at the following web site they have alternative cases which have a belt clip etc.

I've owned a 7710 now for a few weeks an I've found it brilliant. Admittedly it's wont be everbodies cup of tea, but for someone who runs there own business on the hoof it's great as a PDA and a Phone. My only comment to improve this device would be if nokia could invert the telephone keypad so that it was vertical, instead of horizontal, as the vertical is how you hold it to use the phone and this would make it easier for redailing other numbers etc. Additioanlly I found the earphones quite large and painful in the ears. So went a bought Sony Ericsson bluetooth headset, which works brilliantly. So go get one there brill. March - Lanark,Scotland

Help! I've put EEMAME on my Nokia 7710 and transferred some Roms to the folder Mame/Roms but when I scan for games it finds nothing. Can anyone tell me where I can get working games from/which ones work?
And am I doing it correctly?
                                    Many thanks in advance...
