i dont understand somthing about this fone I want to upgrade to this from a p910i
you can play mp3's but can you set your ringtone as an mp3 on the 7710
can some one who has it please tell me how it compares to a p910i and can you set your mp3 song as a ring tone. Thanks guys

i had this phone since the month of january i think. this phone is great. but only one thing,the stylus can loose easily. i had lost my stylus last month i think,and the spare also i lost it. i just want to know the cost of the stylus is. i hope u reply me as soon as possible. ok thank you!!

I bought the mobile I am happy about it but I can find the styles pen as I broke mine already can you tell me from where I can replace it. I Live in United Arab Emirates.

Had my fone since late March.This is the best pda/smart phone i got so far.Its far better than using my palm pda + fone.Given time apps will improve it more. Using it as a mp3/picture viewer & pda makes my pocket lighter/less gadgets to carry aroung. & it was a snip at £90 unlocked. If you're a pda/mp3 person this is the best all in one fone so far. A lot better than the SE pda 900 sumthin.

I was wondering how this phone compares to the new motorola A1010 that is coming out. Anyone know a lot about both phones? I'm so confused on what to buy. Also, how about the nokia 9500 and 9300? Which is the best phone of the 4?

Nokia 7710 is a great phone. As a user with 2 month experience and agonizing choice between 7710 and 6680, let me compare the two. The two phones service different requirements.
7710 Pros - Great if want to listen to high quality 128-192 kbps music with excellent speaker and headset; great to impress other people (men and women); extremely great photo and video quality of camera and screen; can use 1 GIGABYTE of Multimedia card without any trouble (Bought for 95 USD in Bangkok Pantip Plaza)to store 200+songs and lots of photos and some video; Bluetooth great for exchanging business cards; hanging of phone happens only once every fortnight if use the stylus at top right corner of screen to go to desktop (if open and not close applications then can hang daily); need to charge battery every day if use multimedia functions otherwise every second day; good only for computer literate individuals who like performance and can use stylus instead of keyboard;
7710 cons - Major disadvantages are that making phone calls to new contacts will take time perhaps 10 seconds to use stylus receiving phone calls is not a problem at all with two external buttons; Heavy phone at 179 grams so will need to use trouser pocket or belt clip (can purchase accessory for 4.5 USD in Bangkok); only EDGE 2.5G support no WCDMA 3G support (perhaps a issue only after 3 years in most markets except Japan and Korea because of high network packet prices)
6680 Pros and Cons: Has WCDMA 3G support; Basically just a phone with easy to access keyboard (good if persons spends over 2 hours on phone every day calling many different contacts); Only about 110-120? grams weight; multimedia functions of music, speaker, screen etc are of much poorer quality
Summary: If you are low-tech and primarily want to make calls very quickly then buy 6680 otherwise buy 7710. Communicator 9300 is not good as compared to 7710 because it is perhaps too heavy at 238 (?) grams and lacks quality multimedia support (screen, camera, speaker). 7710 can do virtually everything that 9300 can except for keyboard and Wireless LAN. People may perhaps use their laptops rather than 9300.

hi!!i have brouht this phone..but its huge..i would have been much better if the size was a bit smaller..there is no keypad either

Quite Impressive!!! Good Effort By NOKIA. Would have been perfect with any keypad sort of thing (like Sony Ericcson's P-Series)

I just bought this phone last week! Never had any problems with it but can you guys tell me why can't I play mpeg4 movies in it? Nokia's web site said that it should. So, how about your own Nokia 7710? Does it play .mp4 or MPEG4 files? When I transfer a .mp4 movie in my Nokia 7710 and try to play it, it doesn't recognize the file or unsupported. Help please!
