I bought this phone in Feb. So far it has worked gr8 except for some minor hiccups (which can easily be ignored).
However I am having difficulties in connecting this to my PC using the USB cable. Is there anyone else who faced a similar problem or is it happening only with me? Also is there any 7710 owner in Bangalore?

Well ppl,i've read a no of reviews about N7710.I bought the set in feb,05.I'm pretty much into computers so i found not much problems in usage in beginning.The model's software & hardware're cool.But the problem arises using basic functions like calling & ans,messaging,etc.B'cos,no matter wat u do with ur cell,u need these basic functions.I'd problems with stability,it used to get hanged regularly.Everytime,ans a call,the listening vol used to get reset to 0.This's so irritating & frustrating.The basic use's calling,it's worst in 7710.I somehow traded my set with a loss with a Sony Ericsson P910i.That very moment i felt the diff.In all respects,P910i's better many fold,value for money,more advanced.Any function u name,910i does it better.it's VGA camera's much better to megapixel of 7710.Try both models,u'll feel diff in no time.Clarity is a must & max in SE P910i in all respects.Smooth operation's must only then it's value for hard-earned money.Plz don't make the mistake i did,compare both b4 buying.7710 has only 1 adv of 90mb internal memory.P910i has 64mb.It hardly matters but call clarity is a must.Thanks.Your opinions abt my experience & ques are welcome on my e-mail.

hey I just picked up a Nokia 7710... allz fine, but...
1.) no GAMES??? Now plz dont tell me I dont get any games for 7710???
2.) Any... SCREEN SAVERS!!!
3.) How do I get to use yahoo & msn messenger via GPRS...

Hi guys i am Hassan Tariq from Pakistan,
However i have few points for the people who r confused to buy SE P910i or Nokia 7710.As u r aware of basic specifications of both phone, so i am telling u some differences in both phone.Both the phone r best in thier own way.
Positive Points of 7710 over P910i:
1. Large Resolution Screen (640*320)
2. 1 Megapixel Camera witth zoom
3. FM Radio
4. Enough user memmory (210 Mb)
5. A superb Browser (like internet explorer)
6. EDGE mobile (watching television)
7. Brilliant Sound quality
Negative Points of 7710 over P910i:
1. No Night mode in camera
2. No Infrared
3. No Software,games,Themes available in
large numbers(available after 2 months
easily)
4. Not 262k color (its a multimedia phone so
color should be 262K)
5. System hangs till now & speed is slow (
This problem will
solve after 2 months)
6. No Qwerty keyboard (Nokia is planning to
launch bluetooth keyboard in near future
for 7710)
7. No Pdf Viewer( Available after by some
third party application)
Positive Points of P910i over 7710:
1. 262k Color
2. UIQ series is better then Series 90 in
performance
3. More software,games & themes r available
4. PDF viewer is available by default
5. Efficent Email reader
Negative Points of P910i over 7710:
1. Not 1 megapixel camera (where as even
200$$ mobile is offering 1 MP cam)
2. Not large resolution (320*280)
3. Not Enough Memory 90 Mb (whereas MMC of
SE is costly than Nokia MMC)
4. Not good browser
5. Not excellent sound quality
..::CONCLUSION::..
Guys, it depends upon u if ur technoid type person, wants more function, wants media applications(fm,real player, movies), wants large touch screen, wants ur phone cheap accesories,wants huge memmory by default, wants superb internet excperiance, wants good result from camera, wants better hanwriting recogintion, want to use stylus and tired of using buttons then buddies, Why r u waiting go for Nokia 7710,..........forget about bugs,hangs and no 262k color no phone will always meet ur requierments. Bugs and hang will be solved by company in new firmware. Software will be available soon.If u fill the memmory capacity of all phone they will surely become slow it may be 7710 or P910i.
And if u want a mature and office work phone, want more software, games available now, wants fast email reader phone, wants 262k color, wants qwerty keyboard,wants small size phone then go for SE P910i.
Choice is yours,
both phone r best in thier brands both r ambassador of thier company. both r efficent.

remember Nokia 7710 has a slight edge over SE P910i and that is "EDGE" technology. I admitt that near 90% networks r not givin this service but future is near and future lie in Nokia 7710 (refer to nokia site in europe Tv mobile is launching soon, where as in europe,in asia pacific specially in india small TV clips r available by network).

whoa! wat a sik phone...bit disappointin that it doesnt hav an infrared port though....but over all, with a touchscreen and good lokks, the fone looks good to go

Several people have said it looks awful, somethign I don't understand... it looks different, yes, because it is different. it allows you to browse webpages the way they should be browsed. Great idea. Get used to this long sideways screen you guys - it is here to stay!

Its very simple what to choose..
7710 has touchscreen, 640x320 screen like mini-laptop, READ the review..
6630 is very similar, (nokia standard!) but you have to use the keyboard/menu system to find functions, 176x208 screen. READ the review!

haloo.im still a student from malaysia.i own a nokia 7710 n the phone is super cool,but something is bothering me right now.it is bcause there is a new phone coming out which is the 3G N 6680.my question is should i changed to N 6680? Oh by the way,N7710 is extremely fun to have n the only problem with the phone is short battery life.

Hi ppl!
Given that this phone has a lot bugs, I will still buy it. Remember, there is an upgrade firmware in the future that Nokia will release for Nokia 7710 smartphone. So, don't despair and go ahead buy the phone if you really love it. AND remember, technology is not perfect... that's why we keep on improving it ; )

well, i saw, i loved, i feel in liv, but didnt buy it yet :) well iam kinda waiting for the best price here in kuwait and plus it dod not restock yet sumthin very demotivating, i have a few questions, does it really lag that much??
and does anyone know whre can i get the nokia 7710 at the bets price, lol i mean it wont matter i hv the nokia 6260 and 9500 and 6630 they r coool but r not as the next one

it's the coolest nokia phone that i've ever used. but the only one problem is it's little slow, but it's all good.
