I have been trying to research as much info as possible before purchasing this phone. With the amount of money you spend on this phone you can spend on a laptop, just food or thought.
now check this info i found .....
"Unfortunately, Nokia 7710 was some kind of a dead product from the beginning, and the company admits it also since the product is the last based on 90-platform. That is practically impossible to get programs for the device and not many of them are likely to appear. "

DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE. I got this as a replacment to my p800 and this phone isnt worth owning. 1st, there is no software for this phone. 2nd the buttons on the side are hard to push and the touch screen requires a double click for every feature. It is SLOW when you touch and wait for the next item or feature to load. I think the only good thing is the camera as long as you dont need to have the pics fast.

I really liked this Nokia 7710 phone. On the other hand, I wondered how come I can't specify a special ringing tone for a certian group of contacts, so I can recognize that, for example, a customer or one of my friends or family is calling. The other thing is that the font of the name and phone no. of the caller/called person and his/her image displayed when calling of receiving a call is extremely smnall. The phone has a wide screen that can have a better enlarged font and photo. The last thing is how come this phone has no 'free' games installed on it? The only installed game 'Slurp' is a 'Try before Buy'. Finally I hope Nokia will upgrade the software with Arabic language support especially in SMS. Thanks and best regards. Eng. I called up nokia usa and I asked them when will this hit the market in the states. They told me that they dont know, basically they have no info on it. So I asked about the nokia 9300, and they told me that this model will be coming out soon in the U.S. This could mean that they might not even release the 7710 in the U.S. at all because it may have too many issues/problems (who knows). I hope that this phone indeed gets released in the states but perphaps too much drama with it. What should I do ya'll? I like this phone a lot, so should i buy it or what?
