I just said that almost every brand provide software upgrade and all major brands also address the issues of the user, unlike HMD. HMD provides cheapest quality of hardware (faulty ports, eMMC 5.1, etc.) Yes software upgrades are necessary. But now even Samsung is providing 3 years of upgrades of it's amazing UI, unlike featureless UI of HMD. Then what is the point of buying an overpriced, faulty phone called Nokia? Even Samsung has many overpriced phones and they promised 3 years upgrades on this overpriced phones only. But one thing is there. You will not face any hardware issue. My 8 year old tab 2 10.1 has original parts and I have never faced any hardware issue. But my Nokia, at times drain battery while being charged. And it is hardly 2 years old

SShreyas, 27 Sep 2020"I bought Nokia 8 Sirocco and my friend bought OnePlus... moreBro first you said software upgrade is not necessary and thats why i give you an example which is my experience in deed that why software upgrade is needed and necessary i am a developer i need to test apps on newer android i know the pain if software upgrade is not given.
What i can say is, only specs didn't matter because even if your specs are low still all software/apps works and even it is smooth based on software optimization and no bloatwares ofcourse which runs in background.
The matter is software upgrade which HMD Global is constantly upgrading even on their low end phones and that is really what i need.
So even if your manufacturers give you capable hardware but you didn't get software support then whats the point?
                  Matters is experience then numbers

SShreyas, 27 Sep 2020Seriously? You are trying to teach me? Well, sir, I am a b... moreI really fell very happy that I am talking to a professional. To begin with I'll say that I am NOT the best in any field because I am a learner and will be till the end of my life. Even your reply has taught me something. I don't feel shy to admit that I have committed mistakes out of my ignorance many times. Now, I think you are the right person to enlighten me something about Lineage OS.

                    1. First of all no software manufacturer, issues a disclaimer like Lineage OS developers do. The developers of Lineage OS don't wish to assume responsibility at any point of time for any issues with reference to disclaimer laws.

                    2. Let us take one of the world's famous SOC Nvidia Tegra K1 and one famous device in which it is employed, the Nvidia Shield K1. Hope you'll not deny that it is a 64 bit processor.

                    https://www.lineageosrom.com/2017/02/official-lineage-os-for-nvidia-tablet.html

The above web page is the link for official Lineage OS - Android 6.0 for Nvidia tablet. But the heading states that it is an unofficial portal. The body of the page says it is official. Moreover, the page states that,

Status of Official Lineage os for Nvidia Shield Tablet (shieldtablet) Marshmallow 6.0 Custom ROM:

                    WHAT’S WORKING:
                    – Not Known
                    KNOWN ISSUES:
                    – Not Known

Is this a message from a responsible developer. Doesn't it covey that the developers wishes to test their ROM at the consumers cost. Well, I admit that it is free. Above all, the installation process seems to be fishy. At any point of time, the developers don't wish to assure that their ROM would be fine because it is not a stable ROM. I don't deny that there are some stable ROMs from the Lineage OS team, but consumers have to install them at their own risk. Moreover, most of their ROMs are unofficial. As a professional, you should definitely know the issues that has to be faced by installing an unofficial/unstable ROM. Bricking a device might be funny for some, but not for all. If you make a cake which is not edible by ALL, you fail.

The funniest part is when someone wishes to install Lineage OS in an Android One or OxygenOS device. It would be justified if it is for a heavily bloated Chinese devices like Xiaomi, Realme, etc.

Hope, you would take the responsibility to answer the above like a professional as you've boasted, for our beloved world. If you WISH, you can know more about me by going through the opinion column of OnePlus Nord.

Subramanian CN, 27 Sep 2020Per rumour, it will be priced about $499. Refer www for more.WTF@ 'it will be priced about $499' that text, just killed my dream! :'(

[deleted post]The only aspect where Nokia is at the top is the "overpricing".
                        Their 8.3 5G (€650) has:
                        SD 765G, 8GB RAM
                        eMMC 5.1, 60Hz LCD
                        64 MP + 12 MP + 2 MP + 2MP + EIS, 24 MP (1080p, 30fps)
                        18W charging, No IP rating
SOFTWARE: 2 years of upgrades, featureless UI

If you pay €80 more, you will get Samsung S20 FE 5G (€730):
                        SD 865, 6GB RAM
                        UFS 2.1, 120 HZ AMOLED
                        12 MP + 12 MP + 8 MP + OIS
                        25W, IP68 + Dust resistance
SOFTWARE: 3 years of upgrades of One UI

                        IS THERE ANY COMPARISON?????

Still fanboys will say I am a Nokia complainant.

I hope it will be priced sensitively unlike previous HMD phones

Anonymous, 27 Sep 2020price? hopefully under £300 :)Per rumour, it will be priced about $499. Refer www for more.
