I returned my 2nd Nokia 8 on Monday and I don't want it back: the apps continually crashed. The phone app, camera app, some system process app etc. At one stage I couldn't even take a screen shot. And all this happened within 6 hours! And yes, the latest available software was installed which included the September security patch. When it worked it was great. Stock Android is overrated. I'm going back to Sony (even though their phones are overpriced - where I live - they are still excellent phones with a brilliant UI). Waiting for the Xperia XZ1 now.

1> Perfect size 5... moreIndeed, if oneplus didn't exist i would get the nokia 8. Really decent phone. True flagship specs right there, only the essential is there and there's a SD card, IP54 ratings, screen 554 pixel density, good brightness nits, Camera with OIS and decent battery life.
Even tho the oneplus 5 is cheaper it doesn't have IP rating, nor SD card slot, no OIS and a 1080p screen resolution.
So, paying 600euros for this phone is totally worth it for these extra features.
People should forget these really expensive handset from Samsung, LG or huawei.
I really hope Nokia makes a hard comeback and leads sales together with oneplus. They deserve it

I believe this is the perfect phone.
1> Perfect size 5.3 , not too big not too small...
2> Decent memory with sd card support
3> Review shows quiet a decent battery performance
4> Good camera low light esp..
5> Powerful processor
6> Resonable price
Only con i see is no stereo speakers and a overkill screen for its size.. and FHD would be more than enough IMO.. But i can live with both..

Doe , 27 Sep 2017What do you need that for with an OZO audio? There is no place for it (Nokia OZO audio) in Nokia's Single speaker! Right!?? Only in headphones look at Nokia 6 and his dual stereo speakers and Dolby... 6 is cheaper than 8! Frankly I wanna 6 that enabled to sd835

nokia use to make really good cameras (back in the day, and I use to love nokia phones) I don't know if their cameras will be ever the same again....

Branded or not all depend whether you have money or not. If you can afford it why not give it a go. Unknown brand often have very dodgy quality and the camera if it f/2.0 actually wasn't that good. Branded phone mostly has f/1.9 to f/1.7. You can see the different in quality for a big print.

If you want a beautiful design phone, then go with the Honor 9, the blue one is gorgeous.
Stay away from carriers branded phones, usually they aren't that good.

It's been a week since I bought Nokia 8. System is clean, works without a crash. Fast and smooth use, even playing games. Speakers and screen resolution are awesome, you can watch a movie without any problems. Camera is good, has this "bothie" function which allows you to take photos and videos(also live) both with rear and front camera at the same time. Photo and video quality is really good. Battery life is pretty long, I charge it almost once in two days. (And I use my phone a lot) So in general, I'm really happy that I bought this phone instead of new iPhone 8 or Samsung 8. Also it's much cheaper than those ones. I was thinking buying either Xiomi Mi 6 or Nokia 8, I preferred this one because of Xiaomi's worldwide warranty issues. The only problem is I still cannot find a proper phone case and screen protector :) But I definitely recommend this phone.
