How about the camera after long term use ?

The thing is phones are overpriced in my country s8 and 7+ costs around 3400. Nokia costs 2400, 2100 for iPhone and 2000 for xz1. As I said before 6s s8 and 7+ costs double what people are payed for a month.

I had a 6s before Nokia 8. But Iphone 6 is just a waste of money if someone's buying one brand new, which means he/she would spend 400+ $ on this. 400$ for a 2014 device? Really? 2014 camera/processor/rams vs 2018 ones, just hear yourself, you sound (sorry to say this) insane!

Nokia 8/XZ1 are great. Well but, doesn't XZ1 costs almost the same as a Oneplus 5T or a Galaxy S8? Nokia 8 is way cheaper. And you really should consider nokia 7 plus if you don't mind using a 6 inch phone. Nokia 8 is a solid option, so is XZ1. I recommend you consider individual prices of these 2 devices/3 (if you consider 7 plus) and buy the device which you seem to like the most. (bcos personal taste matters the most)

Feel free to believe what you want. I believe people who got real problems like: Display stains, or defects, camera defects, not turning on, not charging, wlan not working and so on. Software related issues like: Glitches lags, sudden shutdown, getting hot using cpu at it pitch, and so on. But i can't believe stories like: Please do not buy Nokia brand, here is why. I bought one and this device has all this problems, please do not buy it. I mean, this guys phone is made out of paper and has a jack attached to it, this is how it sounds. i'm still having very hard times believing this type of comments where... for example: the phone does not turn on and the usb OTG is not working. But to each his own.

I have the z5 but it broke into half on its own. I can afford buying xz1 nokia8 iphone6 and htc u ultra. Which one can I use for two years? -Software update isnot a big issue if it is working just fine.

I think it's a software problem and a hard reset should most probably fix all those issues. Didn't you buy your phone under Nokia warranty? I bought mine under Nokia care warranty and it has 1 year hardware, 2 years software and 6 months display(in case of a drop and crack) warranty.

Hello Everyone,
My name is Uttam Kumar.
Please Don't buy Nokia Branded Mobiles.
Reason - Read the full Comment.
I have purchased a Nokia handset about 5 months ago Nokia -8 by paying approx 30,000 Rs.
And then from the day of purchasing I am facing these problems in this handset.
1. Its touch not responding.
2. Home Key, Finger Print Sensor is not working properly.
3. Camera fails to open most of the time.
4. Charging issue.
5. OTG not working.
6. 2/10 times networks get disconnected.
7. Bluetooth connectivity gets break.
I visited Nokia Service Center in Camp/GTB Nagar.
They told me that these are only software related issues. We can’t make DO of this handset.
You have to use this handset as it is, in this condition. If you will face any hardware related issue then we can hear you.
Now after 5 months I am facing these same problems.
They are telling me it’s a hardware issue. I asked the care employees when I can get my mobile.
They answered they can’t tell me the time. We can get parts in 10Days, 15days, in 1 month or 2 months no idea you have to wait.
After that I asked Service Center owner,
He is telling me that Nokia has only one Service center in Delhi. You will get your handset as soon as possible.
I have submitted my handset in care 15 Days ago. After that I Visited Nokia Care 2 times.
They Doesn’t have its Charging Jack, Home Button, Sensor etc. They told me every time you will have to wait until we get the repairing parts and we can’t answer how much time it will take.

They have blocked my permanent mobile no so I am unable to send feedback at 56161.
I want to ask Nokia management that if you don’t have these little repairing parts then why you are making these mobile handsets.
Just Shut Down Making of Nokia Brand in India if you can’t provide Services.
Answer My These Questions?
1. Why should we buy Nokia Brand if we will not get any kind of post sale service?
2. How can we rely on Nokia if it’s Customer Feedback Service (SMS to 56161) is not working?
3. Why we believe on Nokia if it has only one service center in Delhi?
4. Why we buy Nokia brand if we can get same/batter featured mobiles of other brand in lesser price?
5. Why are you selling Nokia Mobiles without Post Sales Services?

Really impressed after several months but one problem has crept in and I'm not sure if it was something that I did or as a result of an update...

The colour rear camera is stuck in macro mode. The monochrome one works perfectly.

I've tried everything bar a complete factory reset!

pirzola, 12 Aug 2018I bought mine yesterday. After installing all of the update... moreIf you received the oreo update and then 8.1 i am sad to tell you but you should try to format the device. This big updates can also brin big glitches. If that's not the case, take it back and ask for another device. But i have a fealling it is al about cpu to software problem, somewhere inbetween something ain't "connected". As for the q update, i thibk p would be the last to come. To tell you the truth, i am quite ok with oreo, the security updates are more important, and i would be happier with should a firmware update that fixes the camera software "again" and some small glitches then installing P and beeing again.a part of an 75% backed system as oreo was at the beginning.
