I suppose the 3g fix provided by Nokia last month might have resolved the issue. But for now yes under heavy usage with 3g and wifi both never got any issues.

Good day, guys. I can buy me an 808 now since I got the money now to get a brand new phone. My only concern is the 3g bug that I've read lots of people complaining about. Has that been fixed now? I really want to have this masterpiece of a phone but I don't wanna have it if it has a major problem in browsing coz I browse a lot on the web on my phone.

AnonD-65488, 28 May 2013hi my 808 sometimes restarted what i can do?Don't worry, there's nothing wrong with your phone. Ocasional restart (but not so often)may happen in all Symbian phones. Restart is useful especially in case of hang or lag. It's a typical of Symbian OS self-correcting mechanism, just like your PC and computer.
In fact there are several Restart apps available in Nokia stores for Symbian Phones. I use Belle Extra Buttons and Quick Apps Panel by MrAlshahawy to restart and refresh my phone.

AnonD-65488, 28 May 2013hi my 808 sometimes restarted what i can do?Are you using your phone in 3.5g HSPA for internet.If so looks like 3g bug.I would suggest you to install 3g network fix through software update if you have not already installed.It fixed most of the phone restarts issues caused by the 3g bug.

its bit difficult to carry nokia 808 all the time specially while riding bike moreover its expensive device and its 170gm.i use it as substitute to laptop. When i was looking a rough phone which has all features like nokia x2 .im not getting this device or any upgrade of it,i purchased nokia 206,such a bad phone i cant hear any thingif im in traffic call clarity is like a cheap chinese phone sold next day for 40% less..any way im waiting for nkia 301 it launched long back but nobody tells when it will be available i store,,im planning to go for samsung cheap android phones for rough use,

masarifa, 27 May 2013i hope i can connect my 808 to external hard disk driveThe phone's power is not strong enough to accomodate the hard disk. I think you need a converter as an external power source.
Go the electronic shop and ask them if they have a converter which will connect your phone-adapter-hard disk. Hope you'll get it, good luck.

dear friends yes not only nokia 808 but nokia boses didn't do justice to many of their products which they close production great phones like 6600,n73 ,e63 e72,5800,many music series phones which killed without water....these all devices should have developed and upgraded with time to time .just see samsung didn't killed their devices they upgraded journey began with galaxy s2 to galaxy_s4...in between many phones launched and all are with different , now there is no single music phone available of nokia.even if nokia relaunch above devices will save nokia for future generation..
