Vineet, 24 May 2013Hi Guys, finally got hold of my new 808 and to be honest wh... moreyeah the browser doesn't look good.. It appears to be very pixelated especially the text.. it is not so pleasing in the eyes and you may say the worst among all other platforms.. I don't understand why photos and videos look so great as well as the background wallpaper but the browser, the icons and the text don't.. I am hoping that nokia will balance this out! I believe they could do that.. Anyway the keyboard in feature pack 2 is quite snappy and i don't have any complaints about it...

AnonD-34934, 24 May 2013will there be any major update for nokia 808 in future..I Bet there should be more updates coming to this marvel.

Just think it like this that there is a whole dedicated Accenture team sitting there till 2016 for which Nokia is paying for support. So if there are not going to be paid for any new products then what else they will be working for apart from releasing more udpates for Pureview 808.

How big or small those updates are debatable but yes there will be updates.

Hi Guys, finally got hold of my new 808 and to be honest while it has delighted me in terms of camera clarity, it has disappointed in terms of the browser experience (which i would say is the worst amongst all the platforms - i was using Nokia 808 earlier).

Another pain point is the keyboard is very lousy and prone to errors.

Also, i am not able to access the Nokia music app, nothing happens when i tap on it (can somebody please suggest a solution to it)

I just fail to understand why Nokia gave up on this device, all it needs is 1 GB RAM, a sleek OS, better screen display, better browser and a great keyboard (as in Windows devices). Other than these it is a phenomenal device with absolutely no comparison in camera capabilities. Low light imaging is also awesome.

Anonymous, 23 May 2013Please give your rating comparisson between 925 and 808 ? O... moreGood morning my friend,
i believe 808 is unique, is a mobile of another class, so its intuitive to consider 808 better than the 925. Despite built quality and telephony performance (loudspeaker/microphone/signal/audio quality.....
....To incorporate a 41MP camera itself is a landmark moment!!!,photographic quality without any exaggeration is the best there is right now in mobile. Not by far, but with chaotic distance. In 99.9% of cases anybody gets covered and for the first time the cue "leave the camera at home" takes on meaning.
We must admit that for the first time also Symbian OS looks competitive, which means that if Nokia had not abandoned it (and let's blame anyone says so) could stand with a little effort toward every other OS. 512MB of RAM and the processor, which although single-core to 1,3 GHz, make Symbian fly. Where all the other manufacturers regurgitate the same and the same,_and attention, here is the point that the lumias begin to behave in this manner!!!_(really hope and wish the oposite) Pure View in my opinion makes the difference.
greetings, have a nice day :)

Anonymous, 22 May 2013Now Nokia boss is an ex Ms boss..lol..and no room for symbi... moreYea the CEO is too bad, but what the heck. We can still enjoy our Symbian phones as long as we want to.

Furthermore, Nokia is still giving many updates to many Symbian phones to the last end. Thanks Nokia. Please don't forget about your excellent commitment to costumer's service and satisfaction. By pleasing the customer, Nokia has a big avenue to win back its long lost fans and loyal fans.

So no problem, no worries. I think Caroll and other Symbian Experts here can explain better about options for Symbian users who are willing to go further beyond Nokia and Nokia Store, ie Modding, Custom Firmware, Symtorren, 3rd party apps, etc.

And there are also trusted sites that helps Symbian Users:

shodza, 22 May 2013thanx but hw do i select the front camera? am only able to ... moreThat answer was for someone else who wanted to enable picture geotagging. So if you have the same problem. "No' is for disalble the geo tagging future and yes is for enable it. As for your front camera search nokia store, there are 2 or 3 apps that allows you to enable it without video calling. sCam is one of them.

                                        Hi Carol

first, thanks very much for your quick tip, I really get tired from search on my settings to open GEO tagging, in my old N8, this option was located on the camera settings I think as long as all the other Symbian phones ex: Nokia 6710, n95, etc.

so thanks very much and sorry for the late reply I'm still at work ;)

second, thanks very much for watching my video, I'm happy you give me your time and be patient to see my imagination's creativity :D

and you are right, I forget the multitasking this real amazing feature which brings me to Symbian back again...I will mention it in the description and may be I will do another video, just wait for Patrick ")

Thanks Carol very much for your kindly support, BTW I saw your post before it's deleted ;)
