From the days of 5800 till now there is no full touch device with such a good battery back-up.. Once again the trademark of symbian is here is 808 with such a good endurance.. Really good for multimedia lovers.. Can have nice time 24*7... Enjoy...

got this symbian monster which is home of multimedia... Enjoying it.. Also having N9 my previous companion.. Having nice time with both... But what makes me sad is both are officially dead and may be getting updates in future.. In case of N9 it is really in a terrible state that Nokia completely forgot that they launched a device under MeeGo year back.. I expect atleast symbian shld get support as they said till 2016...

and I really shared the same feelings with you the first time I handled it
-very premium and solid device and great build quality
-the screen is just awesome and it was the best surprise for me cause I was very afraid from it.
- I say the same word: why Nokia killed this amazing symbian OS....very smooth and better than my N8 experience actually it's the best Symbian device I've ever had.
congratulation again and enjoy this stunning piece of technology and keep in touch always and don't worry about any thing you might face....Carol will be on duty as usual and will give you all the support you need

Hi Ziad, Carol and other friends,
Got my Pureview 808 last night after such long wait. Didn't got much time to play with it as of now but should explore its features once I update FP2 and other updates for it.
It was a good deal Rs 16000 (290$ appx) which includes a Nokia back cover.
First impression:
1)Waooo man what a solid grip this phone has even though there is a back hump due to camera. Much more premium feel in hands in comparsion to S3/S4 or other phones.
2) Screen to me looks very good despite its low PPI. I think the clear black display technique is doing its work very well. I am sold on this, very well done Nokia. At this price what else could I have asked for.
3) Checked app store all basic apps are there, didn't installed it as of now, since I am currently installing FP2. App store will not make college going kids happy anyways, but for rest app store does it work.
4) Scrolling works very well like a charm. This is my first experience working with Symbian Belle and the first thought that came out was that WHY NOKIA WHY YOU ABONDONED IT. OK agree resolution is less and icons on screen really look a generation old but everything else works so fine with just 512 MB RAM and single CORE. Can android work like this with single core and provide so much functionality.
So with just 1 day of experience with the device I will say to all those camera lovers and other people who need a practicle device and a fully functional device (Keeping game playing people out of here), you will not get anything better than this when its cost is just 300$.
