Annotations like yours (especially the last one) are indeed enjoyable because they put it in our mind some concerns that unfortunately too many people intentionally or unintentionally not even enter the trouble to think. Probably what's wrong is the operating system of the mind of certain people (as you said the magic words "advertising" - "manipulation" ) and not Symbian!
Glad to "see" you in the forum, take care :)))

NB: about the video of our friend Ziad Mohamed is very nice indeed and I agree completely with the associations you did. Sometimes we meet also at work (collect sample water from old wells for chemical analysis) small communities abandoned but some homes only, no more than ten or fifteen.

@ Ziad Mohamed very good video indeed liked it!!

AnonD-77434, 08 May 2013To Carol and pureview_is_best Thanks carol and I hope I ... moreHey, thank you for your word, but i'm just a normal guy. Like you here or anybody else in this forum, or in this world:). I'm not that ”fantastic” or expert, i'm more a somebody who learned a system cause he had a chance to have and use symbian devices since the biggining of smartphones. And loved them all:). That's about it. Back then there was a purpose for smartphones, and that wasn't: how many games can be installed, or apps. Or how many cores do i have and how big the screen is. The purpose was more greater then this. You had a premium device with the fastest and real mobile operating system. You had a taskmanager (the most important future and the single one that really defines a smartphone). How can someone call this useless operating systems (out there today) ”smartphones” when they lack the only future that separates smartphones from futurephones?! The phone that ”changed” the era of smartphones was not having nothing new and more worst than that, it is a futurephone crap in front of symbian (not that today there were made to many changes to it). I'm talking about iphone, the most advertised ”smartphone” ever, more like futurephone (this is what manipulation ca do, is not about quality, is about how you sell it). No native apps, imposible to install apps and games, no taskmanager, no memory card, no nothing. A simple and locked pice of crap started the new era of touchscreens even though. Touchscreens are old story for nokia or sony and symbian. Anyway, back to the subject. So the purpose of the smartphones was to have more futures and capabilities. You could listen to music while taking photos, or surf the net. You could send a mail while chating. Futures futures futures. This is the real purpose of a smartphone. To have real everyday life useful futures in a small device. And believe, the so well adopted games were the last thing i ever thought about. And right now i think the same. There is no point in having need for speed in a phone, is useless and childish and has nothing to do with a purpose of a smartphone, or why were smartphones invented. What they should really do? The answer to this question stays in symbian and it's devices. What this devices can do are the only real everyday life need of a mature man. And camera is one of the most important...

              Hi mksng

I think that Lumia 720 is a great device, very beautiful and slim and WP 8 will be very smooth at your hand, so I think it's better to get the full experience of it and know the advantage and disadvantage so when you sold it and get the 808 pureview you will be happy switching to symbian and very satisfied

and before I send you this, if you are the camera guy, if you can sell the Lumia 720 and get the 808 pureview as quickly as you can so do it, cause my old lumia 800 makes me hate the life when I opened the camera :P

sorry for my bad English at the first post...I typed It very quickly.

I thank you so much for such kind words, I really appreciate every word my friend :D

Carol is very trusted and dear expert who makes me always feel safe about my Symbian phone and feel that he always on the duty for all users and definitely yes, Carol becomes very important part of Symbian community now days and a must exist one.

and about me I love Symbian, it's a real and fully features OS comparing to Bada, WP 7.8, Android ginger bread, IOS....but believe me I'm not a star and not anything actually comparing to any one, I'm a very normal guy who loves to see Carol and all guys give him Help, thanks again and BTW, I believe that If Nokia will make an android device, so it will be the most awesome android device ever cause of NOKIA ;)

                  Keep Pureviewing :D

Hello, can someone tell me if it's worth updating to fp2? I see that there are way more apps for fp1 than for fp2 and I am worried that some of those will not work afterwards. Thanks!

Brought lumia 720 last week bcos of F/1.9 aperture. Its superbly built, nice design, display, battery. I'm not a photography expert but wanted the best Camera-phone available within my budget, but left out 808 as it was not available at that time & due to OS concerns. Now disappointed & regretting the decision, bcos its now available in Flipkart at reduce price of 18k :(
Thinking of selling 720 & go for 808..is it worth it?

Seems like Ziad is the new rising star promoting pureview and symbian in its all glory.

Ziad as you will also agree with me that Carol is now part of hall of fame for symbian and pureview technology for which he promoted like something and took on all the lagdroid zombies coming to this forum.

Guys keep on the good work and keep enlighting fans like us.

Carol, 01 May 2013Hey guys, unfortunately i bring bad news for Symbian today ... moreThanks Carol for sharing about good themes and apps. Agree with you that we should buy Symbian developer's apps and support them; many of them are not so expensive though.

Let's all don't worry about their treatment to Symbian. What matter is that Symbian is a capable OS and rich with features. Although they ditched it, our phones are still operating and useful for several years to come. No worries, let's just enjoy it, and enjoy our life.

Please continue to share with others about good themes and apps that you know. Thanks friend.
