j808 Dubai, 26 Mar 2013Hi all 808 fans,I am in a worry that i was planning to buy ... morego for it, people here get a little emotional from time to time:) but Nokia doesn't stop supporting symbian as you said, only they won't produce new modells running this version of OS. What I think(and this only my personal belief) is that not manny developers will rush anymore to create new apps, but I also believe you will find all you need in the store. The camera needs no more introduction:)...

AnonD-65020, 26 Mar 2013to my last update im experienced i lost good sound quality ... moreI didn't have this problems after last gallery and camera update(I'm still on 1507, I heard is also 1508 but for me it stopped at 7:)), but what happend once(about a week ago) when someone called me the phone kept on ringing and I couldn't cancell or answer, I couldn't do anything until I removed the baterry. After that all was back to normal, until when? I don't know:)...

Hi all 808 fans,I am in a worry that i was planning to buy nokia 808 in april 1st week from Dubai.But People here commenting that nokia stops supporting symbian now a days,some of our friends doestnt get support from the internet also.So i am confused now whether i should go for another mobile.But i am so sceptic about Samsung.I am camera maniac too.I think WP with 41 mp camera will come after 1 year only.I dont have a habbit of changing mobile evry 6 months.so pls give me a suggestion....Thanks in advance.

to my last update im experienced i lost good sound quality in my headset and frequently dropping network,i have to switch off pv to reconnect internet i tried ,docomo,idea,t24,sims same problem facing is there any of pv users suffering with this type of issues...

AnonD-2665, 26 Mar 2013nokia itself wants to kill symbian, we can't do anything ! ... more...and that's the truth, a sad one but still. The number of symbian devices shortens day by day and that's another fact. App developers who are only for money I don't think they will consider symbian when there are much more users on the droid and crapple camp and the hardware keeps improving whereas on symbian they have to work with, let's be honest, as much as I love Nokia and as good as the experience I have with this OS, the hardware is obsolete, not to mention they get paid if they jump and "create" for WP or BB. I think only the ones in love with symbian will develop if any and will do it more for passion than expecting a real income of living source. No matter the OS they develop I guess they take into consideration the possibility of not doing well, this is a risk like most of the things in life. I know I may sound unsupportive but I appreciate a hard work, also other than a drop in apps downloads I don't see. This phone is really amazing like many models from Nokia but the future for a developer on this side of business doesn't look to bright. Everyone should enjoy this model because is so much more than a simple app downloader...

sad to see you go... i m with you... we need to support developers till 2016 and beyond till Nokia moves completely out... but how??? i want to but options like download from Nokia store do not work for me... my internet connection drops out... when i try on my fast wifi nokia india restricts me with 'supported' mobile carriers... when i try to download from nokia suite, i go back to poor mobile internet... i want to download all the paid software because they are so good and developers need my support like everyone else's... but nokia is stopping me everywhere... any suggestions friends??

you are right in terms of normal smartphone user which need combination of every thing like camera+ performance + support+ apps+ games+ great operating system.
but let me tell you...I've tried every thing else and I really love Symbian so I went for it
the 808 pureview is the ultimate media device

1-best camera ever (just lacking OIS)
2-best sound recording quality.
3-best audio quality Dolby plus and 5.1 channel+ 3D deep audio speaker.
4-Blutooth, NFC, WIFI, UPNP technology (wireless keyboard and mouth )
5- UDB OTG support.
6-supporting 64 GB SDHC memory card expansion.
7- HDMI port.
and again the camera which have 1/1.2 sensor and that's mean it's bigger than all the point and shoot out there except the Nikon 1 and it's clones.
since I'm camera and audio guy and need professional Hulk camera and recorder in my pocket...I get this phone.
if I was smartphone user who love great apps and games + smart features of the software so this phone is very weak.
depends on users :)

John, 25 Mar 2013I have experience of nokia 808 but sorry to say that due to... moreI have both S2 and S3 and use this daily along with the S2.808 is always with me.It is hacked just to install app that are working on N8 and works fine on 808 too.many developer have not updated their apps and thats why It cannot be found in the Nokia store.

I have experience of nokia 808 but sorry to say that due to poor operating system i have sale it . no doubt it has good camera but no updates in future about os. if any one is used to nokia than i recommend him kindly try any android mobile (samsung is best jellybean os) but you can try any mobile having andriod os u will feel the difference your mobile will be look like mini lap to with android jelly bean mobile.
