Carol, 28 Feb 2013Strange, i don't have battery drainage with belle extra but... morestrange or maybe i'm just exaggerating things about belle extra buttons because i don't like it... I haven't really use it for a day cause i don't like its look.. I like the simplier look of androMenu and its minimalistic approach.. XD

rocksolid, 28 Feb 2013Dear all, I've been reading all the previous posts and one ... moreYou get the point and I agrre with you. In terms of usability, features, and performance, Symbian almost doesn't forget anything. In fact there are some features and performance that are available in Symbian does not exist in other OSes.

Dear all, I've been reading all the previous posts and one thing bothers me "cpu clock rate, ram size etc...etc...." I mean what is the benifit of having quad core processor or 1gb ram if you cann't use them. N8 with lower clock rate and lower ram is still the best. It never hangs, it never lags so what else you guys want? I think processors are made for only one work "processing the information". So a single core processor does the same work quad core or dual core do. How much power of phone you can use? Will you open dozons of apps and use them? No. We we can do is we open 4-5 apps and use them. So this can be done with lower clockrate and ram. N8 does it like a charm. Symbian is optimized for lower hardware. It can run smoothely over 400 mhz cpu and 128 mb ram and it will never disappoint you. Other os even can't dream about that.
So as for me, hardware configuration is not a big deal. The big deal is an os which can utilize every inch of hardware which Symbian can do, not android or ios. I only need better performance, no matter how it comes.
I am not saying that having dual core or quad core phones is a bad thing. Just go and grab what suits your needs. Choose by your own mind, not by others.

You can make your browser faster though, by disabeling java script, but will not load videos with this setting. I use original browser when i'm out of wlan network and opera when i'm on wlan. Original browser with java script disabled is faster the opera.

After using it for 2 days now i have to say i'm really impressed 1.3Ghz & 512Mb ram really improved performance is should have been done ages ago since N8 time, Symbian requires little power but its helps it big time. Apart from low res screen (Not massive problem) it very good quality display best i've seen on mobile. now the camera WOW WOW I've had the N8 I was amazed now this takes it to next step so good better then my Sony camera which has Carl Ziess you will not be disappointed so go for it i left m razr i android so not disappointed
