It is light years above Symbian S60 and comparable to all existing modern OSes in the market. In fact, what makes 808PV a great phone is because 808PV is using a very capable Nokia Belle FP2. Without Belle, for example, there is no way Nokia will have the ability to deliver a 41 MP camera phone in 2012, and win various awards from here and there.

friends nothing can beat pv its awsome phone we can do more changes to pv screen with so many themes which is not possible in android phone,when we change theme in android the main UI doesn't change check that and camera is worst even 8mp also and no phone is good in music output i have checked they launched with so many name xloud in sony and beat audio i n htc phone those who are using doesn't even know how much fun in in n8 or in pv they are missing be it in camera or dolby or durability nothing id comparable to nokia phones i pity for them just they are misleading by sony,samsung,htc,or any other phones if nokia launched stores across globe to use and buy policy then it's a hell for other phones manufacturers nokia should come up with live phones in stores with headphones and good sales guyz to explain to customers the potential of nokia im not denying nokia display but at few places it has dummy phones and can not experience fully...

JP, 23 Dec 2012Hi 808 users..plz help me..i am planning to buy this phone,... morego ahead buy it. It's way better than c7.. I have both..! I love nokia phones because of their superior quality.. My 808 last one and half to two days of heavy usage and i have no major issues or problems as far as the connectivity is concerned.. Good Luck! :)

And one thing, apart from slow speed of of n8 and maybe screen readability, its a far better phone than GS3 by miles!! How come people dont see it? 808 is in same category as GS3 and IP5, but lot of reviews are saying that nokia belle is behind!! How in the world? Its on par or even better! Am i that stupid? Lol...

My old n8 is so superior and easy....simple thing, create folders for sms...you cant do it in apple. My android phone is now with my son. I dont like it. Customizing is just moving widgets and icons around. Anybody liking android is just not thinking or dont know whats good. I still say, if 920 for example could enter the market with symbian (or belle), it could kill all other phones. What I most like about nokia is the build quality. Iphone cant go without a cover. Its slippery sort of. Nokia is so perfect build, i only put a screen protector on. Its not slippery and so easy to pick up and handle. Reason for my iphone is integration with icloud and ipad i got as a present from my daughter. If it was not for the slow speed of n8 or the sync i already got with iphone, i would rather use my old n8! Why in the world could nobody support symbian via nokia? I can tell you one thing, Samsung overcrowded the world with crap through their marketing plan and copying. Im so negative about apple suing samsung, but they are masters in taking existing things and change it 1% and then flood the market. Apple is in direct competition with Bill Gates, but they first need to get rid of Samsung. My combination for a winner is: Nokia, Symbian/nokia belle, ios6 and nokia phones as basis. Apple can push their devices as corporate support as an extra in the same setup. Windows will have a negative outcome on nokia. My no 1 phone is nokia with symbian/belle, and 2 iphone with ios. Sorry for the wrong reply.....

The world is made of one big herd and small (more open minded) groups in-between. People that have really used Symbian, and also known it's tricks and power, could not just take that android crap as their best ever OS (what a joke). Could also not buy a Samsung (come on...) over a Nokia (comparing the quality). But their is this Herd that is big, the unknowing mass of sheep's that heard about smartphones 3 years ago. Minding the fact that Nokia lost it's power of manipulation (yes Nokia manipulates to, it is normal, companies need to make money, at least Nokia sold good devices) in front of android and ios. So, Symbian got bashed in android and ios favor (this were new, so to introduce something new in a market that was owned by somebody else you have to pay the "big boys" to do small changes of how the herd sees things. So, in this case, the herd was "illuminated" with the existence of smartphones. Of course there was no story about the fact that touchscreens, Bluetooth, internet, e-mail, IRdA, better cameras, super sound, system manipulating apps, 3d games and so on were invented and used by (some) people a long time ago. So, now the herd is in Android market and it's bashing Symbian, even though they have no clue what is that. But they heard bad stuff about it so it must be true. The result? Symbian is now down and Nokia does not own the peoples minds now. A quad-core Symbian will not resurrect Symbian, not now. But for shore after people start to get sick of crapp. For now Nokia needs to enter the market with some new techniques of manipulation. And those are Wp and Lumias. New design, new system, new ideas. Ready to do some other changes for the future... But there is no vision about the future of WP now. People are buying 60 bucks toiletphones cause have android... This is how i see things:). at least:). Sorry that apple is included to. Their is a saying: The best device, is the one in your pocket. And THEY know that. The more you buy what they sell, the more they sell to your friends, and friends of a friend, family... cause of the first rule i mentioned before. So minding the fact that your device is "incredibly superb". You "force" others to buy it cause there is no other like it. And so on and so on.

We Nokia fans will not fall in same category than other trolls by talking and specs writing down etc. All phones are ok. Lumia is not on standard with windows os. And that is Nokia! Iphone is good at sync and samsung is good in marketing and flooding the market with models. I own iphone 4s and 5, 808 and GS3....and my experience is that bigger screen is not for me, 808 building materials are very good, iphone 5 is very good phone, n8 is, except for slow, best phone till date, nokia belle is one of the best, ios6 is in same category, android is overrated, and ipad is top of tabs. In the end its personal!

It is better than n8, so i think it will be better than c7. Not sure. Stay away from GS3.... Just a lot of swiping and looking important. Nokia rocks.....and im saying that although I love iphone as well. My personal feeling is to rather get 808 than lumia. Os on 808 is proven and you will not be disappointed.

Hi 808 users..plz help me..i am planning to buy this phone,but i want to know the real battery life of this phone?is it better than c7s battery,currently iam using nokia C7,it lasts morethan 2 days for my medium use.And is there any connectivity problem either in wifi or 3g mode?(i use mostly in wifi)my fiends are forcing me to go for s3 or iphone,but am still skeptic on samsung,iphone is boyond my budget...still i love nokia...i trust nokia from 3310,6600,6630,6233,5130,E72 TO C7.

Windows is really still developing and noka belle is so good....and easy. For the average user its more than good enough....And apps are only for a few people. Majority of users dont even use apps...they use the basics that belle can offer....

Got ipad as well. And google maps is downloaded for free. Nokia maps the best! My wife will stay with nokia. I will check the lumia later. At this stage scared after my experience with windows 8 on pc. Lot of drivers missing and not compatible. Android is just a show. Can only talk. To produce is the secret. And for me its nokia and now iphone as well. Sync with iphone to icloud is very nice for me in my business.

Ok, 808 is faster then n8, that's for shore. Does the job faster (not to say about camera:).. But also wp is a gigant in the market. And is preaty much a very stable system. Al around, it is better then android also more stable. 920 was forced to come out, it's hardware is incredible, like all Nokia hardware, but windows did not have time to complete some thing on it. But lumia 920 will get better every 3 monts. If you are with iohine you should definetly try 920. Has allot more great stuf then iphone, also i don't think it is worthy to pay so much for not so much upgrade as iphine 5 is. This is just my opinion. So both are very good and fast devices. So you don't go wrong with them.:)

Microsoft Windows Phone albeit a fast growing app base and ecosystem can only play catch up with the established duopoly in terms of development and market.
HOWEVER, if you want a full, rich and innovative multimedia experience, NOTHING can beat Nokia 808 PureView. Not by a light year. It's the best convergent device yet ever. :)

I had n8 and when i upgraded i got iphone 4s. My wife and daughter still got n8. Im very happy with n8 and also with IP4s. Only problem with n8 is speed. Will n808 be faster? I want to get it for my wife. Same os as n8 and she is so used to it and dont want to go through learning curve. Is n808 better than lumia? And nokia belle os? How does it compare with lumia? My daughter think of lumia 920, but im scared of windows. If its not good I'll rather get her the IP5. I'm gonna upgrade to IP5. Im no troller, and like all phones. Even own a GS3 (but gave it to my son, too big and not same class), but i like the IP4s lot more....easier. I myself is upgrading every year. And cost is not a problem for us family, as we are upgrading for free. I still think n8 best phone ever.....just slow...and os is working well...
