[deleted post]I don't have problems playing .avi files in my n8, so i doubt that 808 cannot. It must be your files to have a coding problem. Also .mkv files can be played but some play without sound (if not all). As for a player. There is Lonelycatgames smartmovie. I don't know what this player support's anymore. I haven't used it sience nokia n70.

As for the gallery, you can not. The gallery reads all the pictures in your mobile. Your pictures are already stored in folders, in root memory. But gallery is made to read them all in a one place. You can use some other tweeks to move your personal pics. For example in massmemory, you can create personal folder in system folder (system folder can be seen only with advanced file managers, like x-plore or with mod's). Gallery will not read that folder... As for multiple pics uploading via social networks, or e-mail. I don't know, i don't use this things. Maybe somebody with more experience in socializing via mobile phone, can help you:)

Anonymous, 19 Dec 2012download opera mobile, its pretty fast in web browsing. no ... morenote that this browser doesn't support flash player,that's also no flash plug in either,the best browser now is the original nokia web browser built-in in your phone,it supports full web viewing,including flash,no plug in needed.

Anonymous, 19 Dec 2012should i buy nokia n8 or nokia 808 pure view?Both 808 and N8 are great phones. But 808 is better because it has: Bigger processor, Higher RAM, Larger screen, and Newer technology especially 41 MP camera with 4x lossless digital zoom, Rich Recording Tech, ClearBlack display, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby headphone enhancement, NFC, 1080p@30fps Video with lossless digital zoom. I recommend 808PV.

I've already asked the question about the optional video player, but nobody gave an answer to my question. i've bought 808 two days before. i download a movie and tried to play it but it couldn't played. the movie is in .avi format and another one is in .mkv format. however movie on .mp4 format ran smoothly. my question is, is there any video player which can play these formats with ease?

On the o... moreIn response to your theory.. So here's the Logic to help you understand better.. 4000 x 3000 = 12MP.(Minus the Zeros) Right ! Great so on the PV 808 its has a massive 7152 x 5368 = 38.39 MP .. So if you check the File Size on the pureview uncompressed picture, and if it reads to 7152 x 5368 then its a 38.39 Mega Pixel Camera.. that out runs a lot DSLR's out there... :) Im getting the Pureview 808 Soon..

Gau, 19 Dec 2012Hi All, I have got the phone last week, pls tell me wat is... moreIn default mode, not automatic (in automatic mode you can take any resolution, so automatic mode means something else:)) so, in default mode the picture resolution is set at 5mp pureview. You can go up to 8mp. If you don't use pureview, you can take a 38 megapixel photo. This is for me:P

download opera mobile, its pretty fast in web browsing. no need any setting just download it and install and it ready to use.

If yes, i don't know why, but opera mini is not recognized so you need to install opera mobile to do that. Also, if you want a very quick browser you can try this settings in the default one. With this settings i can say that the default browser is faster and better then opera mini.... So enter: web/options/settings/ general. 1.Access point: internet, 2. Homepage: google or whatever you want, 3. Java/ECMA Script: disabled (you need to turn this on from time to time,ex: for you tube site. But you can whach this youtube on opera. You will be informed if you will need to eneble it back), 4: open while downloading: no, 5: default search provider: google or what ever. Now,go a step back and enter page: 1.Load content: images (no Flash), 2. Automatic, 3.yes, 4.ON, 5.Normal. That's it. And if you want a full browser, download opera mobile and try to do those things i tolled you, if you don't have it. You can tweek opera mobile settings to, to work a bit faster, but doesn't load so fast as the default browser after the tweeks i s

In fact, i don't think there is something that symbian does not have besides apps. Yep, wp has more apps, much more. So at the end it is your decision. What you need it for. I shore need to take great pictures. This is the main thing any smartphone should do. Great pictures!
