pity that lack of Nokia moral support made this super camera phone obsolete.

Sovanndy Cambodia, 11 Sep 2012thank Carol am will take it to nokia care next few days, bu... moreIt may be true (for them)... but nokia 808 has fp1 and has no problem, in fact, nokia 808 was released with fp1 and from 808 users you here only good things. That's only because, until now, are more experienced users than normal users who bought this piece of art. this was an offtopic comment;)). Ok, ontopic now: from my experience, if you want to have a good stable and new system, you need to install it from scratch. In mobile world that is not possible until now because you don't have a bios to keep the hardware up and running. But believe me, if you could do that you would have had the most stable smartphone out there. But you can still "fake" a stable system installation if you're not upgrading via OTA (first) or via nokia suite without formating the phone first. So, from my experience if you format the mass memory and that the phone and only after that, install the new firmware and available updates etc. You will have an 70% more stable system. So, every time there is an important firmware update i do like this: 1: copy important files to a backup folder in my pc. 2: backup only contacts and messages from phone memory( sometimes the calendar to) 3: format mass memory 4: this is a tricky one - open settings/phone/phone management/factory settings/delete data and restore. Now everything is like out of the box. 5: access folders where nokia suite keeps the installation files (in case you have already updated your phone before). In my case (windows 7) this files are in: C:\ProgramData\Nokia\Nokia Suite\NOSSU2\variants\Products and i delete all the folders that are in there. 6: now i plug the phone in my pc\open nokia suite\flash with the new firmware... So, to answer you:)), if you do it right all the new firmwares must be better then old ones (and IF they are not, nokia will release bug fixes as soon as they can)

AnonD-2665, 11 Sep 2012Sony xperia ionGalaxy camera ??????Ar u kidding?

without pixel oversampling G camera is nothing...It cant close to 808 camera picture quality wise

but its smart camera...It will compete with point and shoot cameras but not with the 808 or maybe Lumia 920

Samsung stands for piece of shits man...cheap plastics...

still no android 4n to fight with 808 or even N8 in camera department ...

Samsung is good with hardware but not with overall user experience...

i Know that they already sold 20 millions of S3s bcoz of high end hardware part...due to Android want that type of hardware to get smooth experience..

With out any multiple cores 808 gives smoothest user experience...

Most of guys think hardware part is important thing..but its not..

low hardware with highly tweaked/optimized OS can give smoothest user experience than Hi end hardware with less tweaked/optimized OS experience

that is the difference with Android and Symbian

                                THAT IS THE NOKIA MAN.......

Maybe lumia920 be better the n8 but there is no way that camera will overtake 808's monster camera. So if you have the 808, you must to be proud. Maybe in ten years this camera will be a normal thing in smartphones, but only MAYBE.:)

I'm sorry to tell you this but maybe you need to wait a while longer... Or, you can go nokia store, if is any in your area, and ask them to install the updates for you (first back up your phone, home). If it's still under warranty they will update your device for free.
