So there is no problem at all with Nokia 808PV & its OS. There are more than enough apps in Nokia Store for download. Too bad that the current Nokia’s CEO ditched all Nokia’s Homegrown OSes and produce 808 only in a limited numbers and gave no marketing campaign for it (just like when the awesome N9 Meego was ditched).
It’s so unbelievable how Nokia’s top management disappointed it’s own fans core at large and destroying their own profit center. This is the reason for Nokia’s downturn right now. It is an internal management issue, not Nokia’s phone Quality problem at all. The fact is, Nokia’s phone quality, durability, and home grown OSes are still among the best.
Bad press publicity against Nokia and Symbian after the infamous “Burning Platform Memo” has made many people believed and caused Nokia to suffer a lot of bias and bad treatment.
Don’t ever teach Nokia how to make a phone. Everybody knows that Nokia dominated the world for more than a decade. Most of Nokia’s haters right now and their families used to be a Nokia’s lovers a short while ago. Nokia has all the experiences and know how in cellphone industry. And who knows that in a long bet Nokia will survive their management crisis and rise to the top again..! Nevertheless, no doubt whatsoever that Nokia 808PV will satisfy us in a smartphone. Asked those who already bought it..! Buying it would be no mistake and regret, because 808 is a masterpiece. It will be recorded in the history of smartphone as a technological breakthrough.

No one would dare to care, this Nokia 808 PureView is the best phone ever among the S3, One X etc. if you're looking for android then Nokia is not for you and will never be so stop trolling and bashing here, you better shut your mouth if you have nothing to say good. Go and post comments on the Galaxy S3 or One X page etc. im sure many of people like you are there so they can understand you and have some bonding moments android freaks

OMG it has 41MP i just cant believe it *o* i would love to have this phone but ill never will xD :'( most cameras (not some really fancy ones xD) have like 16MP or somethin like that......i think...but not sure that this is the mobile with best camera...never really heard about any other with more than like 12MP :D

I love Nokia very much!!!Nokia smartphones are very strong and the build quality is great.Symbian OS is not that bad,Symbian Belle is very-very beautiful and there are many software for Symbian OS in Ovi Store.I own Nokia 5230.This isn't the best smartphone but it's a good one.I'm going to buy a new mobile soon.I would like to try Nokia 808,but I won't buy it,because I'm gonna buy for my sister for her birthday.I'm going to give a try to Android OS(Sony Xperia P).I love Nokia very much,it's the top mobile brand for me!!!Nokia rocks:)

People like you are the victims of Bandwagon propaganda - "Every body does it". Cant you have a mind of your own? So you choose and buy a phone because everybody is buying it, even when it doesnt suit your need? You really have a problem fellow!
For crying out loud, what is wrong with Nokia not joining the Bandwagon? They are not interested in Android and have customers who are ok with their Symbian phones. What then is your problem? Is anybody stopping you from buying Android phone? It baffles me the way people criticize things that doesnt concern them. You are here criticizing Nokia 808, yet the phone is selling like fire on daily basis. You can hardly enter a phone shop, see 808, go out and come back to see the phone again. Yes, it happened to me. I knew how i struggled to get mine, the 808 PureView.
Nokia 808 PureView is not a perfect phone and no phone is. Even you that is criticizing is not perfect, how then do you expect what an imperfection created to be perfect? Are you claiming that your Android phones are perfect? That there are no places where the 808 PureView performs better than your Androids? You must be a big time liar if you are claiming your Androids dont have issues or flaws too. You can't get all you want in one device, something must be lacking, so it's human being.
808 PureView maynot be the best phone outhere, but it will be one of the wonderful phone ever manufactured in tis generation. We all knew how good Nokia N91 was then. No Nokia phone has ever replaced it. You stay there and keep whinning for all i care, people that appreciate good things in life are out there scrambling for the 808 PureView.
For those waiting for Windows PureView phone, i bet you, you will never get a Nokia Windows phone that has a big camera sensor as 808 PureView has. Why? Windows phone are slim and Windows phone lovers will like it to remain so. In that case, there is no way a 41 Megapixel camera sensor would fit in a slim phone. So, the Windows phone may end up having only 8 Megapixel PureView camera or a little bit over 8. The logic is quite simply. The truth is, only Nokia Symbian phones can accomodate any form of powerfull hardwares Nokia is known for. Its becoming obvious that 808 PureView will encorage production of more symbian phones and push them into the market, meaning, Symbian is not going as they have mistakenly pronounced. 808 PureView must have changed that. If The Nokia Belle is this good in my 808 PureView, then the Symbian is on another phase of life. But if finally Nokia drops Symbian in 2006 as they said they would do, then i will be proud to have owned one of the best smartphones, with amazing camera and HD 1080p video capability ever produced in this generation, in this life time.

Nokia was on top when they were selling overpriced 3310, and even more overpriced N95, but now when they offer value for money people go for something else because they are told it's "better" and "you need it" and "you're a loser if you don't have it" and "nobody did this before" etc, etc, and especially "it's already a year old, you need a new one with more cores" even though they won't use it properly.

Nokia has many years of reputation as the best phone manufacture.
Nokia's original plan to use Symbian and Meego was actually in the right direction. In fact for many years, we knew Symbian was the driving force for Nokia's succes, sales, and profits. What Symbian needs is only a fast improvements - and they are doing it now with Belle, and perhaps Carla and Donna or "E" something. So did Meego, it was so succesfull when it was launched.
This pictures changed when CEO Elop came, wrote the Burning Platform's Memo about Symbian as a Dead OS (which made many people believed), ditched all Nokia's native OSes of Symbian, Meego, and Meltemi, and planted only WP for Nokia.
Since then Nokia is going down badly - especially with the low sales of Windows phone. In fact Samsung & HTC sold more WP than Nokia.
The real question now is why Nokia has to bow to MS when Samsung can independently use Android, Bada, WP, and Tizen and enjoy success. So does HTC.
In short, Symbian wasn't burning at all. On the contrary it is improving amazingly fast.
Symbian is the mother of all OSes, the most mature and very capable OS, very stable, has true multi tasking, and also user friendly. To put it simply, Belle (maybe Carla & Donna if any) can do what other OSes can do, or better. The only draw back perhaps of less apps (but stil there are about 100.000 apps available for download in Nokia store)
Nokia 808PV is a pure technological breakthrough and a mother of all cameraphone. Therefore it has a class of it's own and also one of the best smartphone in 2012. It can perform all modern smartphone usability. It's awesome - end of story.

They stopped selling symbian phones, very few now like 808 ! My friend has galaxy note and I ve N8 and tried 808 ! Sound quality of n8 and 808 is top class while note's sound quality is crap ! Itz better if we nt compare camera quality :D
