I bought the PureView after many thoughts & i must admit i as not sure if I should buy a Symbian powered device. Also, i had a feeling that the camera would be good, but should i take the gamble. I am so glad that I took the gamble & have chosen a winner...PureView exceeded all my expectations, its very fast, the screen is crispy - no missing the "super AMOLED", the sound quality is outstanding, the business feature are cool, it feel very solid in hand - top notch build quality, its not bulky as many think...in fact its the most comfortable in hand. Above all, the telephony is amazing...i guess thats what a phone is meant for. Top notch telephony... crisp & clear sound, very strong antennas, no signal loss, no call drop etc etc...This is one of the best phones available today ! NOKIA - A great job done after a long while. I'm sure you will bounce back...keep rocking. Love the 808 PureView !!! Bravo

I also wish to get one when i am eligible to renew my mobile contract with Starhub (One of Singapore Network Provider) on 29th July.
But too bad Starhub still do not and might not want to subsidize Nokia Pureview.
I am still wondering if i should get Samsung Galaxy S3 instead and sell it off and buy Nokia Pureview from Nokia store?
But not sure if i can really sell the galaxy s3 off at original price before subsidy after i bought it.
I am so sad and disappointed with Starhub, Singtel and M1. Singtel and M1 does subsidizes it at first but later Singtel only show "out of stock" and M1 completely take down the phone from it store.

But m' still Waiting for Window phone 8 Nokia smartphone, which doesn't have OS Expiry Date (unlike Symbian OS).
To be frank, Lumia phones has 101 functional problems to scared away millions Nokia customers to other platforms.

My impressions after 3weeks of use:
1- Solid performance fluid fast smooth
2- The charger is the fastest on the market 1.4A charges the battery in about 1.5hours, my last s2 took 4hours for an example, the charger in 30minutes filles about Half of the battery.
3- Fastest image upload to facebook i've ever seen in no more than 20sec. over 3G
4- The camera is best in class from the majority of all point and shoot cameras in quality lowlight noise free zoom and at last image Size !
5- the pureview 5mp image takes about 800KB while the S2 takes 3.5MB while the Pureview quality is 10x times better !
6- Video recording is Superb the Nokia rich recording in concerts is amazing pure CD-Quality.
7- Very strong reception for network.., other samsung drop signals while the 808 gets 2 bars or even 3
8- Wifi reception is 3x stronger than my previous S2
9- In-call voice quality is Superb
i guess i've never been happier with a cellphone more than the 808 really the perfect choice for an outgoing person.

man, this phone feels like a desperate move for nokia..their symbian OS is getting eaten by android and IOS so they make an SLR-phone?to me the idea is kinda silly..for it's price range i'll just get a 2nd hand actual dslr camera..sure it will be a bit pricier, it's a whole lot bigger, harder to carry around, but it will take pictures a whole lot better than some smartphone with a high-end camera.it will be more worth the money to spend on if taking pictures is your main thing.

Come on! Really impressive is N8 and amazing will surely be PW808.. This phone has got everything, for daily use/fun/job/help/basic use, but obviously it is missing some important apps like (updated SoundHound, skype videos, some emulators, serious hd games, and some utilities).
With an effort for the market, and less bad, wrong and dishonest pubblicity, and of course with the Os upgrades they are doing, Symbian would really rock for what it knows/does!
WP7 like it is now sucks, missing a lot of things, and we are talking of the present, not of the future WP8, that would be like talk of Symbian Eva (richer than ever)!!X!!
