I am going to buy 808 but before buying this pho... moreHi,
1. Yesterday I've done about 100 pictures and 4 videos (was all the day outside), used the internet and calling of course.
The battery didn't drained... I charged it after arriving home (it was still around 15-20% battery life left).
2. There is one Hard Cover with camera protection: Nokia CC-3046
3. There is an front camera for video calls (but the native camera app doesn't support it - you have to download an extra app if you want to use it as a mirror for example)

Now if only Nokia spent half of the time making camera to actually make a good phone.

I have N8 and a love it except when I recording video there is all time ON red light on device so my cat trying to jump on phone:-)
So Nokia PureView lucky owners please answer me:
Is there option to switch off that annoying light when recording with Nokia 808?

There are thousands of hd games and apps availble at nokia store. U can check it.....

I used to have an n8 and now i bought a 808 last June 12. Its very good, great upgrade from n8. Screen is awesome, low PPI is not noticable and is not an issue unless you view your phone 6 inches away from your face.
Camera quality is excellent! it has now a built in FB uploader which will create a "Nokia 808 Pureview" album in your FB and store all uploaded images via the built in Gallery BUT stores it in a lower size file. 7-8mb images becomes 300kb when uploaded but quality is still great. I take my shots using 8mp PV mode and its very crisp and clear when comparing it to my n8s output side by side. The lossless digital zoom is great as well since zooming in wont hurt the quality of the image, unlike my n8s zooming in macro shots.
This is indeed a great upgrade for n8 users.

For #3, Yes, front camera is there.. Since it is a corning gorilla glass, it is hided...But front camera is there..

im an android fan.i use a xperia s.my previous devices where xperia mini and nokia 5800.my elder brother bought this phone on saturday.so i want to clear a few misconceptions.
1.screen resolution is low.agreed its low but its more vivid, bright with good colour reproduction.compared to s.
2.its symbian.its not as snappy as xperia s,but its close enough.
3.u.i is really good transition is nice.
4.almost all important apps one use is there like skype,whatsapp,nimbuzz,foursquare ill tell more about apps later.
5.built is sturdy the phone is bit heavy.
6.camera.one word amazing.xperia s dont stand a chance there is lot of setting to play along with capture is fast also liked video recording and single finger zoom.
7.the audio quality through headphone is out of world.its like a movie theatre.
Ill post more details incoming days one day is not enough to explore the device especially camera.

Hi all,
I am going to buy 808 but before buying this phone , I have few questions
1.How about battery life on Camera mode and in video mode.. Will it drain quickly with few shots ?
2.Is there any case to protect camera and the phone.As I have found in the accessories only camera case is only available in nokia store.
3. In most of the 808 pictures I have seen that there is no front camera in it. But in specification they mentioned that there is a secondary camera.Is there front camera in 808 ?

AnonD-51869, 18 Jun 2012already did soft reset now am trying hard resetnever try hard reset. It will format ur mass memory and inbuilt applications that can not be install by yourself. That needs flash at nokia care...
