LazyGeek, 08 Jun 20121/1.2" sensor is a state of art tech. Which is a great... moreIf you can wait that long (I'm guessing at least a year), that's probably going to be a fine choice, but buying the 808 here and now is no less of a choice, if you can live with the limitations of hardware, Belle and physical dimensions.

Mind you, in all likelihood a more market-oriented W8 phone with Pureview is not going to have the amazing specs of this camera (less MP, smaller sensor, etc.), but of course it should be better than the competition even so...

AnonD-55345, 08 Jun 2012Yes. I have no doubt on the capabilities of the camera. But... moreDon't judge this phone out of context...

It's safe to say this phone is not meant to cater to the app-hungry crowd. It's the best camera-phone around, easily the equal of all point'n'shoot cameras on the market, and gives you the features of an average smartphone on top!

For some peeps (like me) this phone will give us all we need, particularly since it has a micro sd slot as well...

I just got my 808 today in Singapore .. From Nokia authorized dealer . My first impression is the back cover is very flimsy plastic , well very different from N8 and N9 ( unremovable battery ) that I have ,but the biggest difference from N8 ( updated to Symbian Belle ) is in the processing speed , super fast and no lagging at all , it matches the HTC One X . I am so impressed and surprised ... That Nokia / Symbian can deliver such a amazing product ! Give the Pureview 808 a try .

Yes. I have no doubt on the capabilities of the camera. But WTF, only single core at 1.3ghz clock speed? 1400 mAh? what's the use of the phone if you can't exploit more of it because of it's limited performance and power?!

Maybe Nokia just designed this just for display or to catch up their ever declining market share over other smartphone manufacturer or in any other way to gain back their product influence that they enjoyed a few years ago.

Dear NOKIA, put more juice in your product lines. I'm hungry of the specs from phones. Don't you noticed your left behind?

If they will change the OS to Windows Phone OS, I think I'll consider this phone. Since I'm currently using N8, having Symbian Belle as my N8's OS, it worsen my experience with my N8. They should fix all the bugs first before releasing new phones with Belle as OS. As long as they don't fix it, this is not yet a good phone to buy.

The specs are good, but the support? Goodluck people :)

If Symbian is dying as what all nokia and symbian OS haters like you always say, how come after more than 2 decades of existence it continues to grow? And not only that, Belle FP1 surpases your ICS in many aspects (I can name them for you).

So, it seems like you and the rest of nokia haters can not and, I think, will never accept the fact that Symbian will continue to exist for the next decade.

It seems now that it is not a question of which OS is better. It is a qiestion of which OS is MORE DEPENDABLE and MORE STABLE.

Android, as I always say, is a promising OS and I know will get better each year. But my confidence in Symbian OS is still higher than Android.

Best of luck with Android OS. I hope android will still be around for the next 15 years...

Indonesians always pay a very high price, really high price to get to use international as well as local products. Indonesia is a poor country with high inflation rate. Just like Africa.

1/1.2" sensor is a state of art tech. Which is a great selling point than the 41MP over sampling tech. implemented in this Phone. I will buy this technology, when Nokia releases a Windows Phone 8 device with PureView.
