and now they cancelled the nokia carla and said that the last symbian update is nokia belle fp2
i was going to wait and buy this phone but now what should i do , i think its time to go to another brand since nokia doesnt care anymore about us

i have been using symbian now since 2003 and have always found the top camera phone using symbian but symbian is just behind the times now and as much as the camera on the pureview would be the best camera on a phone out there i have decided to sacrafice the camera and have gone for the samsung gallaxy s3

I had N8 before and you know what ? Not any phone camera is even close to picture quality, which N8 can offer. This camera will be good as well, 100%. But I won't take, cause it's ugly !!

NOKIA means "good quality phones always pluged into a wall socket"
since last two years nokia using very poor capacity batteries for its quality phones, its irritating. I dont want a smart phone always pluged in for charging.
I couldn't understand why nokia used a 1400mh battery for 808, its not enough for a bigscreen, multitasking smartphone...

I have used many digital cameras since 2004 -Sony Bridge DSC-V1[Dead],Cannon EOS 1000D [Sold],Nikon D5100[Using with 2 Nikkor Lenses]
I know about Photography.
I work in product design of optical medical devices.
We use high end lenses and sensors in our products.
But We Really Hats off to the innovation of Nokia and Zeiss. Nokia strategically want users a charisma for buying their devices, And its not just a software or UI tweak that any other company can do.
My first Symbian Phone was N-Gage QD, Yes it had a GPU Core,Multi tasking and played multi- player game via Bluetooth in 2004!! and gave firmware update support till 2006[ Ya android phones can do it in 2009]
My second Symbian Phone was N82[Black],It has 5MP camera with a mechanical shutter,mechanical ND Filter and Xenon Flash. And smartphone features like WIFI 3G,GPS,Accelerometer and a dedicated GPU. It can project its AV output to TV or projector through RCA Output.This was in the year 2007!!and gave firmware update support till late 2009[ Ya some android phone can do it in post December of 2009, Forget Xenon Flash and ND filter ,how many android phone is out there with a real mechanical shutter.]
Ya its 2012,I still use my n82 [replaced battery] just for the camera, multitasking,wifi,browsing map navigation and much more.
I never found a solid reason to update to android. Just for the UI [I'm a hardware Engineer].
And Why do you need a good camera phone.
Last month I went to a Cricket Match [Indian Premier League],They were not allowing any devices like Camera inside stadium for security reasons. So I didn't carry my DSLR.
But I had N82, Clicked a lot of good shots.
So you need a good camera phone if your serious about photography.
Symbian and Nokia came a long way, Its true that other companies had tried and failed in Symbian phone.
And Nokia's User Experience is not that pleasing as Android or IOS.
Its also true that Google was giving support for Symbian devices for Sync,Maps and other Dedicated apps. Now Google is ditching services to Symbian because they have an competing OS.
But Symbian is still alive and will give support till 2016.That is 4 Years.
Will you use your smartphone for more than 3 years then you can Buy Pure View 808

latest ...belle OS fp1 is highly efficient and 10 to 15 years more matured in comparison to the WD7 OS. don,t understand why? Why? NOKIA has foolishly abandoned this OS for some unproven immatured OS. This day customers are more alert than the producers when comes to their smart phone utillities.

Why does everyone harp on about dualcore technology in phones, Nokia as a multi national company would put them in if needed, the processor in this is just as quick as any phone on the market and as for android, every single phone is the same..... a clone of each other.....but on the other hand Nokia shud of stuck with manhatton o/s very swanky. anyway NOKIA's next project is going to blow every other handset back to the stone age so be prepared for amazement.
