Does anyone know what the battery life is like in the real world so to speak? Like do you have to charge it every night to get average use of say browsing the internet for about an hour, taking a few pictures, watching some videos and probably sending about 20 texts? Cheers

S3 is quite a fine all rounder, and 808 has the best Camera+Video+Music+HDMI Setup.
But yes, I shouldn't have said "S3 has almost everything" because it doesn't like you pointed out.

But yes, I think I will get 808 only...

                    Really?

Aside from acceptably good camera, I want my phone to have FM transmitter, I want rich audio recording & excellent audio quality, i want my phone to have NFC. So will I have these if i get S3?

piplop, 21 May 2012what is the UPnP technology? thanksuPnP means Universal Plug and Play.

Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) is a set of networking protocols that permits networked devices, (such as personal computers, printers, Internet gateways, Wi-Fi access points and mobile devices) to seamlessly discover each other's presence on the network and establish functional network services for data sharing, communications, and entertainment. UPnP is intended primarily for residential networks without enterprise class devices.

Bluetooth 3.0 HS (High speed) is also an example of UPnP.

And so, as of today, it has become a matter of choice:

Get 808 for camera/ video excellence,

Get S3 for everything else one wants from a phone, albeit with a acceptably good camera.

And Apparently, Samsung decided to stay out of the Megapixel Race, even though Megapixels, or Lens Size does matter after all...

Lovers and haters of Nokia come and go on this page. They don't like nokia phones because it's OS is symbian. This OS has been in existence for more than 2 decades, with EPOC as its original name.

As for android which is only 5 years young, it still has a lot of things to prove.

There is no contest between the 2 OS. Clearly, symbian is more stable than android. Android fans, face it. Android OS has a lot of bugs that needs to be fixed first. Symbian, since it is older than some of this readers, is very stable, bugs fixed and almost all refinements had been made. And with many add-ons coming its way.

To put it more simple, whom will you choose and trust to pull you up if you're hanging on cliff, a 5 year old toddler who's still busy playing with toys or a grown up and strong man? Think.

                                  Have a nice day...

I think you should review your elementary mathematics. And try also to do some reading. Just an advice, don't make a fool out of yourself. You made us LOL.

Anyway, I love the specs of this phone and I'm itching to have one. You may have a different view than I have and I respect that. Just get the phone you like and I'll get mine, too.
