ios has lot's of apps sure, it has good looks, but it is restricted like hell,
heck u can't "wipe ur ass" withouth apple's approval, android is like a bazaar
everything is there, but that many things clogs the streets.
symbian is simple, secure, easy to work with, and the newest versions are stable
as hell. apps this apps that? so what? i can do everything with symbian, and even
more, so what? i don't have an app that make my phone bark, or something...
symbian is great, and i hope that nokia will not give up on it.

And by the way carla will be a mix of nokia belle and meego....
They just changed the name cause it heavily upgraded....
But please tell me why would the heavily upgade to nokia belle carla donna with meego too incorperated then scrub it????

For me it doesn't matter it's Symbian. It's the best camera phone. I know it doesnt have Android, i know its not a DSLR, but we'll always be ready to take my little boy a picture...EVERYWHERE.
Apps and gadgets come and go. Memories dont. And I dont want poor pictures Android phones take.For apps i have a PC and a laptop.
Let those kids enjoy S3. I dont care!

AnonD-54889, 19 May 2012You made your point,this phone is nothing for you.Then why ... moreYeah it has caught my attention because i am a big fan of Nokia handsets and would really like to buy another high end Nokia Smartphone, but this phone and a lot of what Nokia has done the last few years are missed opportunities and bad mistakes, and having this headline grabbing camera on the more mass market WP7 could have been something really big and helped promote WP7, so i'll be honest i really wouldn't recommend this phone to anyone because the screen really doesn't have the resolution a high end phone should and others now have simultaneous video and image recording which this doesn't so this really isn't anywhere near as good as it could be.

Look at what was 4 years ago - ... moreIt's only got 4 years left because of pressure from a vocal minority and right now the OS is just winding down to it's demise, i mean i was a HUGE Symbian fan from 2002 to 2011 with 8 different phones, but i came to the realisation that the other phone OS's are simpler and better than Symbian and the huge App selection means you always have the option to do a Hell of a lot more than Symbian can, where if you on Symbian there's so little to choose from you always gonna be restricted, because like they say "it's always better to have and not need than need and not have"

How do you know what will happen 4 years from now? Of course Nokia will make an effort, pressure from the fans made them keep Symbian for 3 more years (AT LEAST) and develop new phones, while before it was supposed to be one year and this was supposed to be the last Symbian. WP7 is for people who want fancy apps, this one is for people who have a life and want to take photos of it. There are more than enough Symbian apps as it is. Simple, eh?

Anonymous, 17 May 2012r u mad, u r saying 80k apps are just 1% of 400k appsMaybe 80,000 Apps on Symbian as a whole for all of it's OS's, but incase you didn't know most old Apps don't work on this, so how many Apps does Symbian Belle have? And remember this is an OS that will be killed off in 4 years so Nokia's not gonna make much effort, developers hardly bother making Apps and very few people buy high end Symbians anymore, so i'd honestly say it's a pretty stupid idea to buy this phone because if you wait Nokia might just put that camera on a WP7 phone then it might be worth buying, and i think Nokia's insistence on holding onto Symbian so long before WP7 and their huge loss of market share proves that Symbian has been almost dead for a very long time.

For those who think its bad to buy this because Nokia is dumping Symbian. This OS is supported till 2016. How many Androids are stuck at 2.2 Froyo or less? Lets face it if u want it FOR THE CAMERA BUY IT! Apps come and go, memories not! The are PC, laptops and tablets for serious apps anyway.
