AnonD-52344, 27 Apr 2012arm 11.. seriously do they even produce this archaic archit... moreWhat's this CPU power obsession of many people??? It doesn't matter if it's an old ARM11 or a modern quad-core. What really matters is how the OS uses that proccesor... N9 demonstrates that fact better than any other device... It's the smoothest and fastest smartphone and it has only 1GHz proccesing power... And that's not all, Symbian is an even ligther OS than Meego, so Nokia 808 will be fast and will do great in multi-tasking.

169 g thats heavy for a phone!! this isn't a phone with camera, It's a camera with phone, if I put in my pocket, surely my pants would fall. Lol
and if you drop with that weight the most probably the Pureview would be destroyed.

Someone earlier about companion proccessor said its powerfull,,your right..Cameras in early days had shutter lag because they did not have the proccessing power...If this chip is proccessing millions of pixels in real time thats powerfull..Nokia usually use Broadcom GPU but the one in N8 was powerfull it just lacked memory..We will see all soon.

nokia sales are on decreasing and loss increasing. if someone comes from nokia promising they will support back on symbian and symbian is their main platform for smartphone with windows phone and they announce big upgrade in symbian something like symbian 4. if they do it , symbian curent line up sales will must increase even before the launch of upgraded symbian products and this allows increase in wp7 product sales. nokia should learn from blackberry, blackberry sales are decreasing too but they have not lost the race as they are trying hard and hard to stay and they put major update in thier own os with bb os 10.

[deleted post]yes a really good read dude, and it shows that the nokia 808 is the best in mobile photography, even standalone point and shoot cameras...

Anonymous, 25 Apr 2012Any idea on what GPU the 808 uses? I don't remember exactly the type of GPU Nokia 808 uses, but I heard it's a very powerful one. Even if it would use a weak one, the camera companion chip is so extraordinary that lets all the camera pixels (34 MP in 16:9 ratio) being used in video capture, other phones can't even dream to do that... Only cameras that cost a huge amount of money can do that...
As a conclusion I wouldn't worry abt the GPU at all knowing that it is able to process a billion pixels per second...

again show that you have all this awesome camera phone without lots of cores running silly speeds. just one chip 1.3ghz. runs sweet.

                                    once again. well done nokia.
