Know your History...The fact that people are able to communicate today is thanks to Nokia.. Although Nokia is as old 1865, lets not even go there..
Nokia was one of the key developers of GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications),[39] the second-generation mobile technology which could carry data as well as voice traffic. NMT (Nordic Mobile Telephony), the world's first mobile telephony standard that enabled international roaming, provided valuable experience for Nokia for its close participation in developing GSM, which was adopted in 1987 as the new European standard for digital mobile technology.[40][41]
Nokia delivered its first GSM network to the Finnish operator Radiolinja in 1989.[42] The world's first commercial GSM call was made on 1 July 1991 in Helsinki, Finland over a Nokia-supplied network, by then Prime Minister of Finland Harri Holkeri, using a prototype Nokia GSM phone.[42] In 1992, the first GSM phone, the Nokia 1011, was launched.[42][43] The model number refers to its launch date, 10 November.[43] The Nokia 1011 did not yet employ Nokia's characteristic ringtone, the Nokia tune. It was introduced as a ringtone in 1994 with the Nokia 2100 series.[44]
GSM's high-quality voice calls, easy international roaming and support for new services like text messaging (SMS) laid the foundations for a worldwide boom in mobile phone use.[42] GSM came to dominate the world of mobile telephony in the 1990s, in mid-2008 accounting for about three billion mobile telephone subscribers in the world, with more than 700 mobile operators across 218 countries and territories. New connections are added at the rate of 15 per second, or 1.3 million per day.[45]

Is it possible to discontinue symbian after 2016??
I thought it is impossible. Because the future updates, nokia carla & donna r already in developing state.
Carla wil be made available in Q4 of this year. And Donna may arrive in mid 2013 (might be delayed, since it is nokia).
Even they promised that 2-3 mobile phones r also launching in both new versions. How it is possible to discontinue the s/w support which is growing in features, look, quantity, quality, etc, etc...
With WP Apolo the smartphones might launch only in the high end segment. So they cant launch low end WP smartphones which is more important to emerging market..
As seen low end Tango features r not attracting much people because it is very less in feature sets.
I think the answers, conclusions for all the questions, doubts r depends on success WP8 Apolo. i.e. in almost end of 2014.
Time is there. My thoughts. My views.
Noble scarlet, im waiting 4 ur views on my doubts, questions..

nokia must pay attention to their product quality other wise samsung will crush him to dust...
just attaching a big dock "camera" will not give him an edge.

btw i have a lumia 800 and nokia n8, the display of the lumia its a cbd amoled. and its stunning, the lumia 800 is faster and the os is more beatifull than the n8 nokia belle BUT you cannot do all the things that nokia belle do, in fact i had to learn how to do the things on the wp7 os, cuz for example you cannot send images or mp3 by bluetooth, and you cannot put on background apps like the gps or skype cuz they stop working, the app for the camera just sucks in comparison to nokia belle app. all the nokia apps that i use are not in wp7 (by now), no nokia tennis, no molome for example.
so sadly i return to my n8 till nokia/microsoft let me use my phone like i like to use it.
im glad that the 808 pureview let me use nokia belle/carla for a little bit more time.

mukhiya, 19 Mar 2012Still 360*640 resolution..?! Still a max 4 inch..?! Still j... moreamoled is the technology, super amoled or super amoled hd are names that put samsung to their amoled displays for clueless guys like you to buy them, but in facts the amoled from nokia are the same technology as the super hyper amoled hd super from samsung... just marketing for noobs.
the diference are the resolution (its better from samsung) and the clear black display technology (its better in nokia)
so a 4 inches cbd amoled display its really good, only have to READ and INFORM yourself before you comment.
in fact this is beautifull desinged phone, full of nice hardware features (nfc, fm emitter, hdmi output for example) that is a very usefull tool for who is gona use it.

AnonD-43825, 19 Mar 2012Nokia 808's usability is better since it has hardware keys.... moreBelle kinda good but I think MeeGo has simpler UI. If you want to open multitask bar/homescreen, Meego just have to swipe meanwhile Belle have to long press the menu button. For me swiping is faster rather then long pressing the menu button. But it is personal preferences. I like the idea in 808 where we just have to press the shutter button to take pic rather than unlocking it first. UI is not a big deal for me. I mean in term of features and convenience which one better?
