[deleted post]For gods sake Symbian is being supported until 2016 which is more gauranteed than any other platform..Symbian is far from dead and still selling millions. Just because 2016 arrives it does not mean the Symbian smartphone in your pocket ceases to work or exist it will still work and be supported by a community for another couple of years bringing it to 2018..
I dont see why Symbian should die i would rather have it than W7 ..With more upbeat versions coming along and more beefier hardware Symbian sales are still robust..When this thing comes out nearly everyone i know said "i,m copping one of them".Meaning they want one in their back pocket and since most folk use phone for calls/sms/mms/email and twitter plus photos the 808 is an outstanding smartfone..They also want one in their back pocket because they are carrying a true camera as well as communications and can upload their pics from the smartfone 808..
This 808 will be in short supply..

My question is which type of sensor this phone uses because it's very important with such number of pixels and is that screen resolution big enough to show us that high quality pics from this phone or not?
I don't know about this Symbian Belle OS never had a chance to use it(curently using Android on Se Arc s) but can someone tells me is it good if you compare it with Android iOS Windows?

well nokia 808 pureview is very fantastic in shooting picture and it is because it has a carl zeiss optics. it doesn't differ if the thicknes. it differs in features

I love NOKIA but I really don't know what's the points of getting pic with 41 megapixel camera...Isn't 12 or 16 megapixel more than enough...??

rave, 27 Feb 2012actually people has forgetten the actual meaning of a cell ... moreHaving used the Nokia E7 (also running Belle), with lower-spec hardware, I imagine that the 808 as a phone (not only a camera) is pretty awesome.
Learn a little from Samsung? What - like how to give your users more homescreens than they will ever possibly need?
Ooooh how amazing - my phone has 406 homescreens.
Pity it doesn't have a 41MP camera, or Full HD video recording, or brilliant GPS with free voice navigation for life, I could go on... and on... and on...

Well means bad for you nokia integrator.i'm a nokia fan since the illumination of the nseries.i like n95 a lot but eventually it was stolen and bought a k850 sony ericsson.well then,they are right.i'm well being comfortable with sony.now,i have bought an xperia neo and so being granted that sony came to my life

will nokia stop making symbian?? because i hate it, no doubt in earlier stage of the smartphone it was a beast, but now every one is pissing off on it, and regarding the cam this will going to capture a lot of noise due to a very small sensor with a very high density and it is visible in its sample images. and either of going for this better i would go with a android device and buy a seperate digicam.
