I have an N8. This would have been a suitable upgrade but the design sucks and why would I buy a phone with an OS that's meant to be scrapped? I was a solid Symbian fan. N8's OS was lucky enough to be supported through its lifetime. I wanted to buy an N9 but since Nokia plans to do away with Meego as well, I didn't. Meego was perfect step towards the right direction. Lumia isn't for me. I hope Samsung comes with a Galaxy Note like device running on Tizen. I will definitely line up for that.

Just by listing 1.5 quad core 1.8 dual core, 2GB RAM, blah blah, dont get excited guys. Its STILL not even close to a home computer that can do software coding, Maya, Photoshop editing, burning DVDs, blah blah, all rubbish! Phones are mostly used for social networking, maybe some games, hearing music or maybe some videos. People can always learn from Nokia (trust me, it really is a cell phone) ;)

Other than that its a lame phone with a dead os. Yes its the last symbian device from nokia.

U knw, the arc s with just 1.4gig single core and 512mb ram takes less than a sec to start camera and snap from standby Where as lumia 800 takes higher time.
So what you said is not cmpletly ri8.

I want a phone that can do everything. I want a good camera, great web browsing, music, apps, document editing on the go, and all kinds of stuff. Nokia N8 is better than every single Samsung camera phone out there.

[deleted post]It's neither. It's a single core, but it's not laggy or slow at all. Check Youtube for some videos. Symbian has a great memory management.

wow. what a great phone it is! in my opinion, Nokia should run both window7.5 and Nokia Belle oses for the devices.
hope that this product will be available Asia Pacific.

Only 184 ppi.....
No use even havin' such a camera cuz, we don't get the proper display with low resolution.....Even sony ericsson t715 7000 rs has 182 ppi.....givin monster camera is a complete package with out common n proper specs....so, sad:(

Too bad the phone do not even benefit from its ultra high 41 megapixel camera with its very low 360 x 640 pixels, 4.0 inches screen (~184 ppi pixel density). C'mon Nokia, high resolution pictures are best enjoyed on an HD screen.

Just like how big images cant be sent via MMS since it should be capped to not consume too much data traffic

I hope they enhance the secondary cam also, since primary cam already have the highest MP you can get on a phone, why share some MP on the front cam :)
