Alcatel Pixi 3 4.5, 14 Mar 2018It's meant to be cheapThe reason for choosing low pixel camera modules for feature phones is due to the fact that the the device are designed for simple, day to day, basic usage. Not for high-end users.

My personal opinion about the Nokia 8110 4G (and all previous 3310 versions) is, that I always have been and still am a huge Nokia fan. Yes, I also use other brand phones, but my mostly used devices today are still Nokia devices like the new series Nokia 2,3,5 and 6, if I don't want to use a smartphone because i want to have some peace and quiet, then I have my Nokia 3310 3G and a 3310 4G or a iOutdoor T2 (when it gets rough) to choose from and I can tell you how awesome these "dumb" devices can be sometimes (if one can handle the fact not to be on Facebook or WhatsApp 24/7). The Nokia 8110 4G gives me just that little extra, namely WiFi and the fact that is runs on a stripped down version of Android. I still can have all my contact and calendar and e-mail with me, and have no problem living without Facebook and WhatsApp for a couple of hours or even days. Added, that I like the slider idea of the Nokia 8110 4G, #vintage. 1500mah batter does not sound much, but hey, it will last far longer then any Smartphone out there, look around, how many smartphone users a forced to carry around an arsenal of battery packs, cables or power plugs just to make sure that their Smartphone don't become "juice-less" suddenly. Then, 2.4 inch screen, is more then enough for what one does on a device like that, what is the point of having a compact device with a large (touch) screen on it? 2MP Camera, just for fun, if more megapixels are required, there are some good Canon EOS Cameras out there, which take even better pictures then the best Smartphone money can buy. There you have it, my personal conclusion on feature phones in common, but mostly dedicated to this awesome Nokia 8110 4G. Which I definitely will get as soon as it it becomes available :-P

AnonD-450180, 15 Mar 2018Oh, I like it and really want to get it really soon. But, I... moreThe Nokia 8110 4G will not be waterproof. If you like a waterproof feature phone for your outdoor activity, perhaps and if I may suggest, you may want to look for a Rugged Device like the iOutdoor T2 for example. I have have one for my outdoor actives which include being in the water or rainy conditions (jungle), this device is just perfect for the job and has an extremely long battery power (antenna can be removed if unwanted), check out the review at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ibo1vSjYFaU. And yes the device is from and made in china, but hey... what isn't from or made in china nowadays :-D. But a best buy when it comes to what it offers. If you want one, look for one on Lazada or other online stores selling tech form china :-D

ALPHANUMERIC keyboard and WIFI together!!! Simply awesome! I miss my good old Nokia E51. And there are GPS and 4G too. Sadly i see no java at the specs sheet. I like that slider and hope it will be durable enough because i will buy this. It would be even better on Symbian though. It would be good a high specs alphanumeric keyboard phone too, e.g. android, front cam, edge to edge high res 3" amoled screen, etc.

Oh, I like it and really want to get it really soon. But, I hope it is given loud speaker, internal FM antenna (no need to plug in any earphone), and more waterproofing to accomodate my outdoor activity. But, this is really pleasing for me to see that nokia is coming back to give their unique phone back in new ways.

In my opinion, Nokia does what they always have done best. Be innovative and being a trend-setter. Yes, they still make feature phones, or "dumb-phones" as some would call it. But if one looks around, what is actually out there, what kind of innovations, or trend-setters? Actually none at all. Apple comes with a new design, all follow, Apple comes with a new feature, all follow, Apple comes with a bezel less design, all follow etc etc etc. My personal review on phones like the Nokia 8110 4G (or Nokia 3310 2G/3G/4G), of coz it does not "look" the same like the original, that would not be possible, however, it does offer precisely that what some people are still looking for, smart features, in a simple, yet useful design. For users who don't want to own a battery consuming, 1 million apps device which cost almost as much as a months rent (not in all countries are phones free with a contract). Hence, Nokia delivers just that. Yes, If you come from your super high-tech smartphone and go to something like the Nokia 8110 4G, you'll be disappointed, why? Because the phone is not design for users like you. So, you are looking for a simple device, just enough for your daily usage, but with little bit extra, well there you go. If not, plenty of boring big displayed smartphones to choose from out there. That is why phones like these exist, not mend for boring smartphones users. Sorry to be so blunt, but sometimes these comments here extremely single minded and do not contain any respect towards each other. So, i just speak up! Have a great day

What I said was that this Nokia "8110" has nothing to do with the original one. It's another phone with the same name. You know why they use this name to sell this model? It's to attract customers. Why don't people buy Nokia 230 for example, which has almost the same functions? This branding is just a marketing effort, they're using it so that people can think "hey it's the Nokia 8110 of the 21st century" and buy this non-related to Nokia 8110 at all model. I'm saying that if they named this same model with another name, it would not attract the same number of people.
