I wonder how much will its price be for next 10 or 20 years, for a still active one at Christie?

I just found an old 8210 from junk in my house somewhere. Had to change the facia plate and battery. Too bad couldn't find originals. Still Works pretty well. Love it with E71 in one hand and 8210 in other.

I LOVED this phone. I still have it and wish it was functional every so often. I leave it docked 24/7 near my bed and it still functions as a great alarm clock when needed. Always synch's time, battery carries it through power outages, the alarm gradually gets louder and has a pleasant ring.

My touch pro2 may have tons of features, but it is nearly 3x the size and weight and looks nowhere near as nice.

bill, 21 Jan 2010I totoally agree with you Tammy. Phone Designers and Nokia ... moreActually, I take back what I said, the pace of tech today is way too quick, back during the 8210 era, THAT was slow. However, I do miss phones of this size though, smartphones may be getting smarter but they're also getting very big now, but then again the smartphone isn't a dumbphone, which is the true mobile phone.

tammy, 07 Jan 2010Nokia has to go back to retro...we still need some cute lit... moreI totoally agree with you Tammy. Phone Designers and Nokia were so innovative and way ahead of thier time during the Nokia 8210's reign. Most of the smartphones today just lack soul and just all look the same, the features and functions may be advanced but we're not seeing the rapid change like we saw with the Nokia 8210 and 6310i, arguably two of Nokia's most successful models of all time. Throw in the N95 for good measure too. Plus today, as I sai before, the pace of tech is way too slow and there's hardly any updates or news for like, months and then the handset is released when it's obsolete. Back then with the 8210, it remained fresh even with all the other handsets which were just as advanced, but this had the form factor and power!

I traded my 8250 for this one way with my friend way back in the day. I remember him telling me he paid Rs. 12000 for it when it first released in India... .12000! Now you'd can get a decent touchscreen phone with WiFi and 3G for that much! Great phone though...
