Overall, this is not a good phone, the 8800 is better by some margin!

Take my advise, DON"T BUY THIS PHONE! I'm selling mine because I'm not happy with it(I still have the 8800 & not selling it) at all.

As an owner/user, I can only rate this phone a 4 out of 10.

This phone is amazing, when i am home at night i enjoy looking at it for long periods of time. Really, it is such a great phone it subsitutes for friends.

All in all there are downsides to this phone. The first being that it doesnt talk to you like people do but on the up side it doesnt get angry at you when you talk to it wrong.

                                  David Vargas,

Any phone will break/dent if you drop it!
I personally am encountering two problems with the Luna ... 1. Fonts are too small for fast & easy reading. 2. The phone does heat up badly after continues conversations for 15 minutes!!!
I encounter the same problem with my Nokia E65 ... I do not have the slighest idea why most Nokia phones have this heat up problem???!!!

2fyx, you are enjoying your phone because its new. if buy 5110, you will enjoy it a few days. after a couple months later you'll miss your sirocco. but lunas specs are better than sirocco, you are right

hello everyone, I need your help in choosing this phone.

I bought my girlfriend the 8800 almost 2 years ago when it first came out. She is sometimes clumsy and has dented it a lot from drops from her purse or desk.

I got her the Sirocco because she preferred the black over the silver of the 8800. After about 6 months she broke the phone by dropping it. Its screen broke and the body was left dented badly.

She now wants the 8600 Luna. I am willing to get it for her and she has even promised me to take very good care of it, unlike the other 2. I know her and she will also break it too.

I am wondering how strong the glass is on the Luna though? I know it is glass and will not stand up to the beating of the stainless steel 8800 but would it serve 2 or 3 drops from about 4 feet high?

                                        pihf,

If you feel the Sirocco quality better; that's good for you ... but I'm enjoying my new Luna! By the way, I'm still keeping my original 8800(best looking) but had my black Sirocco sold. My girlfriend is using the gold Sirocco cause gold is the fashion color(she also own the D&G Motorola V3 which is also gold color).
