Why is it the 8800 above all other phones defines a person as who she or he is? I don't get it.

Descret (a shop in Beverly Hills)is still getting $2,800us for the 8800!!! I was told two went to A-list actors (they are not allowed to give out their names). Don't be surprised if this phone starts turing up in major pictures and television! It most definately is THE biggest status symbol to hit the US in the last year.

Norm you are right. Please don't think I'm bragging but I have made it in life. I have a large home, beautiful wife, my children go to private school, I dive a Mercedes, and I have the 8800. I know it's not politcally correct to list ones own virtues but being at the top of ones game is no crime. I've worked hard my whole life and deserve this phone. And, I admit, I enjoy all the looks I get whenever I pull it out. At the hospital, where I practice, several attractive nurses have even asked what it is and where I got it.

Fact: there is only one phone in tday's marketplace that says to the world - I have arrived.

The nokia 8800 embodies all the best that there is. It's like an exclusive sprots car, or 120 wool suit, or a house with an ocean view.

I wish I could afford this phone but right now I cannot. But I do envy/admire the people that can. They are obviosuly powerful people who want to stand out from the crowd. Someday I want to be one of them. And I'm sure all of you do too.

The Nokia isn't just a phone, it's a symbol of success.

Prices arent coming down and the limited numbers being released means it will be exclusive unlike everything else on the market. Maybe not packed with features but easily the best loooking and most exclusive phone out there!

Nokia designers can learn A lot from Motorola designers ... they should study the design of the V3 or the up coming V8 from Moto .
For your information, 8800 price is coming down because they are NOT SELLING !
                                Cheers.

For the price of this phone, people can buy 10-20 cheaper phones ( different make & model too )with as much function. These 10-20 phones add togather will definately last them longer than the gay looking 8800 !!!
Anyway, this phone from Nokia is a piece of 'JUNK METAL SCRAP'.

What some of you don't realise is that some people don't want or need a megapixel camera, or a memory card, or anything like that. Some people just want a phone, that will last them. This is that kind of phone. If you are one of the people who seems to need a fancy schmancy camera and all that other junk, then go and get your K750i's and whatnot. Just don't go bagging out the simpler phones because you think you're so good with your "superior" phones. You just have different needs and tastes.
