Just got this phone yesterday, I'm myself is a phone lover, i upgade 3 time a year, so i know lots about mobile, to tell you the truth this phone is really not all that great, i had before the nokia 8910i, which i think was a better phone in term of the material it used (titanium) and the press to pop up mechanism which made it lot more classy. but with this one (8800) u have to push it up which i think it abit crap, also from the old model the (titanium) body to a steel body????? how downgraded is that.
if i have to compared to old model to this one i would give the 8910i 7/10 and the 8800 5/10, plus the software in this phone is also not up todate with other phone out in the market, which you would of think there more to this then the look! anyway this is mu opinion thanks for reading this, Tony:)

So many defensive people. I guess this is the object that seperates the classes. Another doc at my hospital picked up an 8800. The benefit? Let's put it this way - he's taking out the best looking nurse on my staff this wekend after she iquried about the phone.

Khaled
we really pity on you for wasting your money like this (lol)
now don't repent on it and don't make other people fool to buy just a mobile phone of average features for that much amount and stand with you in the same line. i would buy this phone for my wife if it were decorated with ornaments like dimonds etc (lol)

Bill Clinton wears a Casio watch, but we all know he could afford a Franck Muller or a Patek Phillipe, but he doesn't have to show off this fact. To show off that you are so 'rich' by buying a phone is a bit sad really, dont you think? Buy a Vertu. Oh, I'm sorry, is that a little too expensive for you (you refers to anyone who has this ridiclus notion that they are a better person)??!
dont get me wrong, i'm not a jealous, bitter person who cant afford one, i would rather have a phone that does more than just look good. I own nice things, but they are practical and classey at the same time

the phone is great, designed for special people not for average ones. dont complain about the volume or the camera or even the card because you are not getting a toy for kids to stuff with pictures and music, you are getting a bussiness man's phone and a very good one too. so if you dont have the mony to get this phone then dont. one problem you might say it has is the short battary life but again you are provided with the desk charger which is very classy so cheap ppl stay away from this phone, rich ppl you will love it to death.
i change my phone evry months .. tried all nokia from 7210 to 6680 and the big SE like S700 ,P800,P900,P910 K700 .. and now 8800 and its the first time i feel i am not waiting for somthing to come out
i rate it 9.5/10 and i hope it stays expinsive so it is special

I have got my 8800 for almost 2 weeks. In a nutshell, excellent feeling on hand with its exclusive material finishing, "COOL" slide up mechanism to pop up the button, very sharp & clear TFT display with brilliant 262k color, stable & consistent performance without any system hang-up issue thus far, short battery life compensate by 2nd back-up battery...!! Bravo product from NOKIA..!!

Having to list all of your physical assets on a mobile review forum..... sounds like a midlife crisis to me! I own a pair of Calvin Klein boxers, but u dont hear me bragging do you!
I dont need this phone to 'make friends' or try to make out im successful. I like it because its original and sheexy!

Unlike all the other plastic, mass-produced phones on the market the 8800 will never be available free when you take out a new contract. It will never be as common as the v3's, k750i's etc and unless your a techno-geek whose main attraction is all the functions, this phone is easily the No1.

Sorry if I rubbed people the wrong way. I did not mean to put anyone down who can't afford the phone. I was poor once too.

Some of you don't understand my point. I didn't buy the 8800 to show others I'm important... I AM important. The phone is just a byproduct of my success. I don't want to sound like a braggart, but if someone has this phone I know we have something in common. It just like sharing common interests in cars or homes or watches (I own two Pateks if you are wondering) Also, once this phone becomes as common or as cheap as the razor - I'll will move on to the next fad. It's fun to enjoy the fruits of your labor and buy the lastest toys. And right now the 8800 is the best toy you can buy.

Use only a 1,000 US dollar phone to show others you've made it ... sound like a joke to me !!! ... these poor people must have never seen money !!!
If you are wealthy or famous; people will know without you saying !!! Use a USD 1,000 phone to show that you are wealthy ... I wonder how wealthy these people can be ???!!!

i like the look of this phone but i haven't seen one in real life yet. this must be a pretty good phone the way everyone says that it makes you feel important. if that's the case it could good down as one of the all-time best phones ever made. only time will tell.
