I've been using this phone, and I love it. I freaking HATE the battery life, but so does everyone who owns it. Jade1 - I cracked my screen once, but I got it fixed for only $23. It's cheap in Thailand. I also made sure I put one of those stickers on the screen which prevents it from getting all those finger prints and scratches. I'm waiting for a new cell. Hopefully, they'll come out with something nice and awesome battery.

I have this phone too & love it, but am having same probs that you guys have. Horrid battery life AND my screen got scratched and now cracked! Any suggestions?? Nokia customer care SUCKS!

i think its beter choice for those ppl who are rich but i cnt afford that kind of phone coz i m not ready to bought that phone. i have only wish that May i bought this phone................. but it is just a wishhhh...... thanks

heeey guys i had resolve the problem of the battery usage!!!!
i had bought 2 non official nokia battries on solware.co.uk!!! they are 1000mah!! now i can use it to full potential with bluetoof gprs ect ... it just don't go down and when it empties i had the ohter!!!! lol
For the extra low volume ringtone i had download a beep which trancends the limit of sound!!! now my 8800 is better than my old k 700i thrust me on this guys!!!!

Nonsense. Paying so much just for its design, pfft.
Strongly discourage anyone buying this phone. Unless you are filthy rich, forget about buying this one. Not worth the penny.

when im buying it, i have a little doubt, but when i recieved it,i cant stop holding it!
Battery isnt good as my n73, but much better than my stealth!

i bought one for $342 two days ago.
At the first glance it seemed to be styled for an assasin lol
BUT DON'T BE FOOL this is the worst energy saving phone ever thus this affect it's riability ! it says stanby time 190 hours!!
don't make me laugk nokia on a mix usage i use 3 batt bl-5x 600mah just for the run
but i love this mobile because ti is stylish,rock solid and it will still be on the run 10 years after you buy it
4 1/2 stars on 5 {the 1'2 is for the batt consumption

Got a used one for $350 off ebay.
It is sleek, my mom doesnt even know how to use a camera phone, so this phone is perfect for her :D
To who ever bough a special edition for $500, the price is ok,it is more expensive because it is rare, that is it, it is litterally the 100% the same as the 8800

i must say only one thing: it is awesome
if you forget about the poor power conservation
the frequent messages of insert your sim card
and the too low volume ringtones

this phone gives great emphasis to the phrase "looks can be decieving". although the phone does present a sleek and sophosticated look, the features are horrible. the phone is really below average, and the worst thing about the phone is its volume. HORRIBLE! I could barely hear a thing while talking, and even when u put it on speaker phone its not loud at all. nokia should really consider a re-call on this phone. NOT RECOMENDED!!

Nokia 8800 is a great look of Luxury.
But it not worth to buy a too much expensive phone only for luxury.
This phone doesn't have a card slot & even no data cable can be attched & half mega pixel camera.
So now u think is it worthful??

this is excellent phone in every feature but the battery is the worst part of it.it signle sometimes go up and then down

the original 8800 is better than the sirocco for 1 reason..the navigation control..the origninal has that scroll thing..but sirocco hss those rubbish buttons.....always buy original not fake...buy the original 8800..instead of sirocoo..

YEa the phone shut off by itself and the battery life is terrible. Especially after bluetooth it switch off. Is there a update to the nokia 8801
