To be honest since I return my phone to nokia to update the latest firmware I never really had any problem with the phone since. I suggest if you do have any problem I think you should call nokia so they could fix whatever issue you might have like what they did to me.

I have got this phone and love it to bitz but the phone has a rollerball system at the back when you open it.
The phone when opening leaves a scratch at the back near the camera.
I tend not to use the phone know as i paid £700 when it came out and know i feel ripped off of howing nokia can charge this for a phone which has this problem.

Yes, u deinitely can buy a phone with more features at its price, but K750 or that sagem cant be compared to this one. 8800 is an elegant business class phone, while the others are..toys for teenagers..

Just call customer service and they would patch you through another customer service that handles high end phone like the Vertu and the 8800 series phone. Sorry for the miss inform version of the software. The latest version is 3.78v.
As for the other question, as I said before this phone is for people who can afford to buy it and have some extra cash to spend. I reallt don't know how much you guys paid for your, but I paid $350 for mine including a brand new service from T-Mobile in the US.
In the end as I said before is a classic phone.

Even thought the 8800 and 8801 are the same the only difference it that the US version have 850 Mhz instead of 900 Mhz it still an iternational phone. Because if you go to GSM Association they use all 4 Freq. Like the 850,900,1800,1900, and UTMS 2100 for 3G.
As for the other question, even thought this phone is expensive I see this phone to be a classic design among any other phone out there. For me I like classic phone because it would never get out style and they live on forever. like a black and white tuxedo.

tombow i read your opinion about the phone and i think u right.well u dont know me and i too dont know u.but i understood ur opinion.i have used nokia 6600,6630,7610and samsung d500 but now i am using 8800.it is very nice and cool and the best thing about it is that it is scarch proof and the only drawback is that it is very costly compared to other nokia phones.

I just wanted to add that It's working the way it should be NO PROBLEM!!!!!!
In many ways this would be my phone for next 3 years until they come up with a version of the phone with the same quality. Beisdes that I would stick with this phone for a while. Plus, I still have 2 years warranty for the phone which makes it much better than any nokia phone warranty out there.

i'll buy the phone when the lot with the improved firmware will hit the streets. i am not buying a phone that's a piece of junk that restarts when it wants to. probably 3-4 months in the future. till then , i'll stick to my 6060 and will not pull it from my pocket very often due to the shame that i have a 100 pounds worth of a phone...
cheers
