For the price of this, do NOT get dirt on it, least of all drop it.

Hi can I please ask you all a few questions. I have been given the job by my Dad to find him a phone and all he wants are a good loudspeaker, Large buttone and that its a nokia.
He works with a lot of dust and tends to drop it a lot so I am wondering how durable the phone has been for you all?
Also is the loudspeaker loud and clear?
Thankyou in advance!

Like getting dirty and leaving fingerprints
I have the luna and I hate it for the senablitity with fingerprints.

The only annoying thing about my Arte is the fingerprint marks! Luckily my phone's build quality is exceptional - I have dropped mine twice and the phone is still solid!!!!! Pepsi, I have never known anyone to feel so passionatly against a phone (unless they have owned one) Just wanna know why this phone gets you so angry? lol :)

I posted last month about how I had issues and had it replaced twice. The third one also became faulty but after the 30 days (slider became loose and screen was coming off) so it had to go for a repair instead of be replaced. So Nokia repaired it by replacing the slider/screen. Instead they made it worse, dust behind the screen, slider scratching against phone...... so I asked my operator to change to a different model. I am very disappointed with the Arte, to get so many replacements then repairs and all be faulty, the quality has slipped. Unlike the 8800 or Sirocco, this may look nicer but it's not worth it. Nokia don't deserve people to spend so much for this phone when the build quality is a joke. Did they sack the QA department or something??

I can see both sides of the argument with this phone. I myself own one and am more than happy with attention to detail Nokia have paid to the 8800 arte. Worth it's value though? Hard to say! Easily one of the sleekest phones I've owned, but nonetheless, a bit pricey all round for a mobile phone.
