Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Oh but i do need to judge them. I have no shame in saying I can't afford this phone, why buy this when I can buy a laptop or computer for the same price? Think about it, a computer or a phone... I pick computer.
Yes, it is not the phone for me and it never will be, clearly I will not waste my money.
I just don't see the point, it's JUST a phone. Chances are if you don't want any special specs on it you don't use it besides for talking, txting and the occasional photo, so a normal phone would last just as long as this one, no?
I'm not "bashing" this phone because it has no features, it's overpriced that's why everyone is complaining about it. Pay all that for a phone that's made of nice materials? Whatever blows your skirt up.
Rich people? Charities?

its unbelivable how many people are bashing this phone because its expensive and have no feature. There's a reason why this is a luxury phone and Nokia sells another few millions of non-luxury phones. And the fact that nokia keep releasing the 8800 series means it has a market. You can't judge someone just because they choose to spend their money on this phone. I have this phone and I sure didn't get it to make myself feel more superior. I got it because it's a quality phone. Spending $300-500 on a regular phone that last you around 2-3 years is the same thing as spending $1000 on a phone that last you 5 years. And at the end of the 5 years, I can still probably sell it for $300-500 since it's build on style, not feature, so the price won't depreciate as much. And the fact this phone is built so solid with its sapphire scratch free screen and stainless steel, it will still look brand spanking new. But seriously, does it matter why people get this phone? They have the money, they can choose to spend it however they like.

why do people keep banging on about how this phone has nowhere near as many features as other phones half it's price ??? this phone was not built for features, it was built for looks and for people with class so will you feature fanatics shut up and stop hating just caus you can't afford this phone !

You can get a nice, simple looking phone for less than $1799AUD which is what it's going for in Aus. Surely even the richest overpaid people can see this is a waste of money, but sure if you have a wonderfully high paying job and practically no life go ahead, pay that much for this "artepiece".
Some people clearly need to pay more taxes.

Nokia phones are made & meant for people in places with ONLY winter weather; cause all their phones heat-up badly during telephone conversations!

This phone is beautiful, practical and the best phone I have ever owned!! I wanted this phone the moment it was announced and have not been disappointed with it yet! If you want "a phone" and not a gimmic with built in game station, or Nikon Camera, this is for you. Very solid, smooth action slide phone, perfect clarity when talking to others, easy to use features. If you want to look classy, then tucking the phone into its sweet leather case can also help with that.

Dont buy this phone if all ya gonna do is moan...about the camera and its price and its weight and its lack of this and that....Look, this is the Ferrari of mobile phones. Its a pure beauty and is simply designed to be used for as a mobile phone. In a car, if you want Air con and top of the range CD player and electric sunroof and cruide control etc..get a Mercedes at fraction of the price. However, if you want a solid, beautiful, renowed performer with less functions, get a Ferrari. Same with this phone, if ya want this and that, get an iPhone or an LG Viewty or Nokia N phone. Otherwise, buy this phone for its solid looks and mobile phone performance!
