Ok so its made with "nice materials" does that mean it needs to be so expensive? I don't think people are bagging this phone because they are jelous of it, because they will never be able to afford it or because they "just can't have it" They are bagging it because it doesn't DO anything. Will those luxurious materials protect it when you drop it? When it gets wet? I doubt it.
And phone insurance won't cover that. So then what?
I can see the replies to this after... "You are just jelous cos you can't afford it" Well of course I can't afford it it's so overpriced, and even if I could afford to spend this much on a phone I wouldn't, I would put the money towards something more practical. Anyone who pays that much for THIS needs to pay more taxes and feed some homeless

I like classie phone. I used many kind. I had N70, W900, W960, V3, iphone, W810, 8800 and vertue hehehee my dads one. I like Nokia the most. It is easy to use. Now i'm carrying 8800 but i'm buying this Arte when i get to Bangkok. This 8800 series attract me alot. The style of the phone is nice, nice to hold, and your ears is cool when you talk with it, because the metal is touching the ear.

This is a fashion phone thats why it costs 1200E.And it doesn`t compare with N82, because thats a performance phone.Further more the materials used for this phone is much superior than those used for N82.It's not made out of ordinary plastic...

Some people like different things in a phone, this phone is just pure class, I still have my 8800 an will be getting this soon. To me features are a bonus, the most important thing is the look and feel of a phone.

What the hell is this? 1200 euros for what? I can not believe this. My n82 is 100 times better than this phone. I suppose this is phone for the people who have a lot of money and don't have a clue about phones or anything else

                          hey pepsi

optus is selling the phone for $50/month on a $49 contract for 24 months...think thats good enough a value looking at the kinda phones telstra is selling (imate 8502 etc) on a $100/m 24 month contracts!!! at least optus gives you $300 worth of calling value...unlike telstra that only give $90 in a $100 cap...

@ Vodafone in AUSTRALIA this phone to buy outright is $1799!!!!! WTF!!!!!

Has ANYONE actually brought this phone?!?!

It's not even that great. For $1799 I would expect it to be like something from Inspector Gadget

The latest version is 5.22 since 20-12-07! Version 5.21 was from 30-11-07.

I'm on my 3rd 8800 Arte(just received it today & is still charging for the first time). The first two come with 5.21 & this newest one with 5.22.

I also brought a 8800 Sapphire Arte today for my mom; and it is the same 5.22 version as the latest 8800 Arte(also dated 20-12-07).

I bet 5.22 has got to be the latest version; not the 5.21!
