i have the 8801,and it sucks,battery wise, sure it looks good. some people only buy this phone for looks but that's pretty much what you get..it comes with two batteries for a reason right..kinda disappointed with mine though

I´ve just found out that a new version of this phone will be released. It´s going to be 8800 Sirocco Gold Edition. It as the same features as the normal Sirocco but it as a gold "bath". Were in Portugal it´s gonna cost €1499. Please comment.

people need to get real this phone is awfull ,its not selling thats why its only 250 pounds on e bay brand new sim free and thats why its free now on contract, as for those who say its the look so if i buy a car for 100.000 pounds and it looks good well i would be cheesed off if the engine was a 12 cc engine inside thats what the sirocco is a lada in a sports car body and thats a fact i bought 3 of these sim free when they first came out was lucky to get rid of 2 of them but at a huge loss nobody wanted them it should have had top of range camera top of range batt life this phone people laugh at it my 3rd one will not c the light of day again so you people keep telling yourself its the best your paying 500 pounds plus for a case nokia pay 65 pounds for them lol now who has egg on your face and when you pull it out people are not thinking wow they are thinking you have been ripped off so stop trying to say the price was worth it look it up for your self how much this phone costs to make lol nokia cant get rid thats why they have launched a gold one lol its all fact its a 6230i in a different case thats fact . and like i said its now free on contract lol

I have owned them since 1st 8800 launch. The Sirocco is a significant improvement over 8800 Great looking phone, great feel. Reception is terrible in US because networks do not offer software support for Sirocco. Keep in mind there is nosupport whatsoevre from any network and Nokia does not back warranty for the Sirocco in the US 100% guarantee that you are on your own.

all u haters out there! dont hate the phone coz u cant have it, fair enough, its not a music phone or a camera phone, but it's a BUSINESS PHONE, made for people with money!!!if u want a camera phone get a sony ericsson k800i! or nokia N73, if u want a music phone get a walkman sony ericsson! W880i! If u want a smart classy phone, get a NOKIA 8800 SIROCCO!!!!

This phone is intended for users who prefer aesthetics value rather than functionalities. Anyway, not all phone users use WIFI, GPS, etc.. Most phones users use only voice, sms and mms. And this phone has basic functions, but when look at it, it outweighs even the latest, most expensive PDA phone.

I think this ones a rich boys toy kinda things. I bet a feature rich model will roll out as soon as one buys this. I bought a 8910i and now this ones out. Now if i buy this the next model with good features will be launched. I better switch to regular feature rick phone like I-mat e or O2.

your right this phone is tripe. my sister bought one ,thought it was rubbish and handed it over to me . it was given back to her 2 days later. sony ericsson w810i all the way.

After 2 years of dropping the 8800 first ed daily on the floor - yes i treat fones like crap - i finally managed to wreck the micrphone on it. ive got this as a replacement. why? because i have a 1500 minute contract, because i charge it when im in the car so the battery life isnt a huge issue - bat like on the sirocco is considerably better - and its extremely well built. As to features... not to be rude but features are for kids who have time to play and poor people who cant afford separate devices.
