To kPX4: yes, the Sirocco does work in the US (Cingular or TMobile or any other wireless company which uses GSM technology).

I just got it yesterday, so I don't really have any reviews of it other than I do like the look and feel of the phone. I don't need any of those other extras that people keep complaining about -- I just wanted a quality phone that looks/feels good and works well, and that's why I splurged and got this phone as a $700 USD xmas present for myself.

I wanted quality, and that's what I got. If I wanted to surf the web or buy soda at a soda machine with this device, then of course I would have gotten another phone instead.

I'd rather buy K800i than this, it's too expensive and my K800 have better options.

o got this phone... is cool but if u want posh and sh-t like that get urself a vertu... take this phone only if it reprezents you... in my case it suits perfectly. i know it's not cheap but the fealing of the metal in this combination is uniqe... If u want posh buy Vertu, if u want smart Qtek, I-mate... if u want cheap Alcatel OT311 but if u want stile Sirocco is for u...

there is no 8mm weapon , bulletproof phone?!!?! the kinetic energy dispersed at the impact is absorbet by the object in the back of the phone (human, table, etc) and the pullet if it is normal one (not armour piercing ones with vidia, titanium, teflon etc... head). whare do you people come up with such ideas as bulletproof phones?

                        @neil

because in my country... and believe me, because i sell contracts and work with phones, its cheaper to have two contracts and call some people, depending on their contract, from one phone, and some from the other. so im saving money because of my second phone. sounds stupid, but its like that. it always depend on the contracts, in other countries you cannot save money like this. so this is the reason...

its no problem, we maybe have the same opinion, just about different things... but its no reason to blame others...

                        regards

                              @ Baztoli

2 phones? Why? That's just two contracts which is double the cash. You could have one phone which does this, that and the next thing ad use it for business and personal use. I can understand if the PDA is a work phone given to you by your company, but if it wasn't issued to you by your highers then why would you need two contracts?

I think the mobile phone culture is something tht I've missed out on. And maybe I am a poser for owning a classic car, but in the same respect, you own a classy phone. We both hve something in common. We like nice things.

I'm not here to troll the messageboards or anything, and I may have been slightly off the mark with the "poser" comment.

I just think that the phone is too expensive for what it is...

i also have a m600 and its perfect for my bussiness. it has everything, touchsreen, guess what, i have also tom tom 6 on it...

but i need to carry 2 phones with me for some reasons. my second phone is the sirocco. if you would have to carry two phones, would it be two same pda's because they can do everything??

my second phone is just for calling and writing messages, the m600 for internet, mail and so on. shall i buy myself another pda with all these functions i dont need for my second number just to say "the phone can...", or am i allowed to buy myself a phone i like because of its looks?

so why i'm now a poser? because i like the phone? if yes, than you're a poser owing a 1956 Austin M, because i just own a smart brabus, wich is perfect for the city ...

                                think about it

if you not effort to buy a vertu phone, Nokia 8800 Sirocco is the alternative. both phone offer the similar thing. Those people choose to have a Vertu or N8800, they are looking for something elegant, high class... perhaps you are the CEO of the company, on the other hand that you have your own secretary, so it also mean do does not need any PDA phone, Big memory, funny function on the phone.... because those task already done by secretary.... remember N8800 Sirocco is a brand image like VERTU.

                                        @ batazoli:

Fair enough. But I own a 1956 Austin M and an Omega Seamaster Chronograph and a Cannon Eos DII with 4 different Leica lenses.

So, your arguement from this point becomes invaid. I have luxury items, I like luxury . It makes life jsut that little bit more exciting and special. Still, I cannot see wy I would want this phone.

Fair enough, It looks alright. But people don't just buy Pagani Zondas because they're gorgeous. They buy them because they're a supercar. I bought a Panasonic Plasma screen because of the technology inside it and because It gives me an awesome picture.

My PDA kicks the arse out of your Sirocco. Perhaps people on here should stop being so vein and trying to impress others, and buying something practical.

My PDA may not be ade from gun-proof titanium-glass-scratchproof-alloy or whatever the hell it's made of, but it has form and function. Not only does it look nice, it impresses people far more because it runs Windows, it's touchscreen, I have TomTom in it, I an browse the internet, I can take 2.5mp photos and I can STILL make phonecalls and receive text messages!

Your sirocco does, what... 3 or 4 of these points?

Form and function people, Not just form.
