seems like a very heavy phone at 220 grams.

That would put me off to be honest.

Anonymous, 14 Apr 2020Are you so busy in your life to see the linkedin profile of... moreHMD/NOKIA - is no longer microsoft.

The finns working for that company, are the same ones that once worked for
            NOKIA before, and during microsoft.

Its not like MS moved american employees to finland.

So the current "nokia" phones - are designed/conceptualized by original nokia employees from finland. No matter that the devices manufacture is now in far east like with everyone else.

Finns use carl zeiss optics... thats ... finns dont load it full with bloatware like samsung does.... you get my driftt, and if not.. too bad.

808, 14 Apr 2020So... You wanna 5G midrange phone, this one will be availab... moreFor your kind information last year there where no new nokia phones announced since they where restructuring there business as Foxconn is no longer their manufacturer on smartphone now nokia phones are made by multiple vendors so as the delay. On start there where not much people hence they where seeking help from foxconn to design their phone and now they are making their own decision to design their phone. This Nokia is with newest processor if it would have the older processor then you all might have said some other hate like why older processor in 2020 and now the processor is new and with 5G you are blaming about its price hats off to you the same people who buy flagships with 1000 euro and frankly speaking 765G and sd865 have not much difference.

Comparing this phone with the mi 10 lite that is almost half the price is absolutely stupid and unfair (to xiaomi ofcourse), at this price it should be compared to the normal OnePlus 8, a flagship phone with some minor sacrifices, and by July even the s20 is gonna close to this price range in some markets, so you really have to be blind to not see how this price is massively exaggerated.

Anonymous, 14 Apr 2020Are you so busy in your life to see the linkedin profile of... moreSo... You wanna 5G midrange phone, this one will be available in 2 months, with a price tag of 600euros. It does not matter is it this original Nokia made (no it is not), or is it Global Oy (last year their smartphone sales was about -only, 3 mil units, so thats says everything for users of smartphones), and i guess, reson even.. Even if someone wants to buy HMD (known as Nokia) phone, there is none, there is no 8.3 in the market. Second place goes to prices, those phones (still, in 2020), does not have own launcher, insted, they put "Launcher3", the same launcher that is on 30$ no name Chinese Android phones, since 2013... But hey, if you musty have 5G, here is a one, price almost 50% lower, with Super Amoled screen, other spec are similar anyway, just UI is differente (yes, you can remove search bar from the home screen, almost in any launcher, ex. From those in Nokias, even Moto launcher, with stock os can do that..), so take a lopk, and about 8.3, we will talk about when (or, if), come out in the market, at least in Finland

Anonymous, 14 Apr 2020It's not Nokia tho, it's HMD. Different companies. Are you so busy in your life to see the linkedin profile of each?
They all are from microsoft since the mobile division was acquired by Microsoft and the team are same who started again. Even the Nokia's ceo announced that earlier in 2015 that they are coming back to mobile business but in different way like nexus lineup so its known as HMD Global.

Nokia is re-committing the sins of it's past. Stubbornly refusing to adapt to the reality of the market and trying to put it's mid-range product at a top end price. It's old, clunky with yesterday's specs and yet want "top dollar" for it. Nokia is going to 'sink again' into oblivion if they don't SEE the reality of what they are trying to do and FAIL to understand that WE ALL know and understand what you are trying to do, and why.

Why so big? People don't want a 17cm long phone in their pockets. A 15-16 cm phone is pushing it for one handed use. Plus the bigger the screen the less effective a 4500mAH battery is going to be. The ratio of screen size and tech to battery capacity is key (as well as chipset to battery capacity). The sweet place is 6 inch and 4000+mah battery.

Kissio, 03 Apr 2020You are wrong ... as usual. For example, my Mate 30 Pro ... moreHello, I can answer your question and name a couple of things. First of all, Nokia phones come with Google Play store out of the box. You do not have to work it out for yourself to put it on the phone, so basically you can use it out of the box with Google. Easy. Secondly, the Nokia phones come with MicroSD support and not Nano SD, which is a proprietary memory solution of its own design. Only Huawei supports it. Third, Nokia comes with android one so you get the safety updates and also you know once you install a major OS update, you just don't have to go through the hassle to put GMS on the phone, again. Now we got to no. 4, and that is simply availability. Since Huawei doesn't come with Google, its availability is only limited here in europe for example, whereas Nokia phones are widely available.
