I am wondering if anyone, espically consumer forums can take Nokia to COURT.

Their 5110 /6210 had between 4Hrs 30 Mts to 7 Hrs of talk time...now their best phones do 4 hrs..technology has improved but their strategy seems to be-make poor products with shabby technology and keep forcing the customer to upgrade....(like the 9300i)BAD STRATGEY NOKIA YOUR MARKET SHARE WILL FALL

Also why has Nokia stopped making phones with battries that are a part of the body like the 5110 or 6210 .....

Well said you've got Nokia sussed, and you're further confirming what I've been thinking and saying about them for a long time. They need to stop flooding the market with tweaked versions of existing models while simultaneously hypeing several unreleased "uber-phones" that get delayed then delayed, then delayed again. Then, by the time they do come out they're a let-down cos the competitors have something available that equals or beats it. Nokia is all about clever marketing, they get people drooling and then make them wait. 18 unreleased phones on the main Nokia page of GSMarena. Think that says it all.

People are getting wise to you Nokia.

9300i... The least I thought they would come up with a vibrating alert, very important option in a phone in today's noisy world.

I sure hope if they come up with a 9500 update, I hope they have a vibrating alert in it.

Nokia needs to bring out with more innovative. Currently they are just stuck wtih producing (i) versions for their current phone or copying looks from other companies or most importantly - the never ending software issues.

I have a friend who feels it was the biggest mistake he made buying the N70, he says the software issues are never ending.

When can we buy a nokia phone which is complete. We all know that answer.. Nokia does too :)

mmm...some very interesting posts. Most seem to be either hung up because they want a camera...!!! or more importantly pee'd of with Nokia for launching the same phone with 1 change.! If you look carefully at Nokia's strategy they make/market what they can sell lot's of..that includes the same phones in strange colours..! And just like RIM they offer the 9300i a a business tool....hence no camera and WLAN that works...!

Nokia, you are missing the point. This is rubbish without 3G/UMTS, camera, and more. You guys should go back to the drawing baard. WIFI/WLAN is fanstastic, but where are the other features? I cry for your R & D and marketing departments. They should go back to school and study more of consumer behaviour in an electronic market place that we are in today. You should add more features of tomorrow technology and not those of yesterday and then add "I" to it. Such moves are out of touch with the market.

So far so good... do not expecting camera or multimedia function in business phone... but off course, if provided it will be better...

BUT one thing that they must improve... that is a speed... because my Nokia 9500 is really damn slow...

Nokia is killing itself......in the business segment

                  poor unimiginative products

                  bad design

                  technologically inferior

well somebody just said that R & D department are not allowed to have a camera phone in order to avoid espionage? I guess u were 50% wrong.. me myself are working as bus.dev. (R&D) which means i got to travel around to do lot of survey products and market. In this case I am really need internet connection plus one camera. It would be handy if my phone can do both.. so I guess u were half right and half wrong..

I live in Malaysia and Indonesia most of the time... Yes its true that Indonesia lacks of WLAN access especially in cafe or coffee shop unlike in Malaysia. But I believe it will keep growing the hotspot but it is not free (U GOT TO PAY THE ACCESS) and overseas offer WLAN Access free of charge if u buy some coffee or products..

The other reason is this 9300 are so expensive (mostly nokia are expensive).. so would u guys tell me what the point I should buy this? Instead it is better that I buy another phone like O2, Sony Ericson or samsung rite?

About Blackberry Software on 9300i... the old 9300 already has this. And yes you can incorporate it with your BES. Definitely sexier looking than the RIM Handhelds.. Not to mention the Office Application GUI is excellent compared to Text base on the RIMs.

9300 is a boon for people working where cams arent allowed, else theres no other respectable cell without a camera. So I think I'll buy it the day I am into a place like this. Right now I am clicking away with my K750i and Muzik is awesome in the car thru it.

                          hm....

the only feature that I'm looking for from a communicator...
digital camera still prohibited from some of formal meeting, and unless the pic quality same or better than 750i's its not worth...
                          IMHO!
(from Indonesian too, and more hotspot already deployed ... including in my office, for style I'll go with 8800)

How come nokia makes 9300i without camera or major development.. The difference between 9300 and 9300i is only the strong WLAN. In some country like mine, Indonesia, We dont use the WLAN. We only buy cellphone for style.. Nokia is f**ked up...

I forgot to mention 9300i is also loaded with plenty of new software including blackberry. Its the best communicator ever.

                                      The 9300i has two improvements:
                                      1. WLAN connectivity
                                      2. Enchanced 1,100mAh battery
Talk time is up to 8 hours
Stand by is up to 230 hours

9300 is one of Nokias biggest sellers and maybe their most profitable phone ever so im not surprised they decided to upgrade it, now its even more perfect. A few more improvements would have been welcomed though.

I suppose dragosh is not a businessperson, because I am and I do need a camera on my phone even if is not Mega pixel. Many times in my work I have to have a photo, either as a proof or help my business associates get a better idea of things. So Mr Dragosh when you become a businessperson you will understand that photos are not just for entertainment.
