it has some advance business features and full qwerty keyboard, not to mention the big and long LCD display (and secondary display). big internal memory, office and data tools, thats why its expensive... so we cant say this phone is "pangit".

Hi Nokia 9500 users,
I just bought this wonderful mobile, really great, no regret having this, however, just found out I can't watch movie with RealPlayer software. Can anybody help me so that I can make use of it as optimum as possible? Cheers,

Hello N9500 wizards thanks for your time, I really would like to get a 9500 communicator but I am not sure whether I should wait for a new 9500i or updated 9510 version, does anyone know something about a better version or release for 2007?
Thank you very much

Is very true that is beeg, but only the battery is near to some phones dimension. The comparation between 9500 and sample phones (with more or less features) is not corectly.

Even though I am quite impressed with features of 9500 still i would like to know that whether it can support 2GB MMC (like 9300i) or higher or not. Secondly, I read it somewhere that there is possibility of its software instability. Another doubt that bothers me is can it play heavy mpeg 4 files like 300 mb or above or not or just simple music video files of 40-50 mb. I will be really thankful if i get some info/clarity on the above mentioned doubts.

Hi jose =)
as far as i know, there's no message counter.
But it does store your sent messages and you can check it from there on how many messages you've sent. so to speak, i can say it plays a message counter.
If you're talking about just a simple application that counts the messages uve sent, there's probably a java application you cna install to do that.

Hi Richards =)
which light are you talking about?
the light on the keyboard? or the external number pad?
if its the keyboard, it doesnt have any light.
if its the external numer pad, have it checked. it should always light whenever you're using the keypad.

9500 is nicer than 9300 because it has a bigger screen.

people who always complain about nokia's popular phone are just jealous cuz its either they cant afford one or they simply don't know how to use it. lets face it homos... nokia still has the bigger piece of the pie in global market.
as for me im happy with my 9500 and n70. they both make a good statement to the public and made my mobile life easy and convenient. eat your heart out homos...

Hi Jinggoy =)
first of all, let me tell you a simple difference between 9300, 9300i, and 9500.
9500 has wi-fi and has camera
9300i has wi-fi but no camera
9300 has no wi-fi and no camera
...the rest of the features are the same.
thats it
now, you mentioned you're a student. if you dont really need wi-fi to access wireless internet in any hotspots in your area, then might as well get 9300. its smaller compared to 9500 so at least you can slide it on your jeans pocket or your bag pocket or something.
if you want wi-fi and not into camera-phones, then get the 9300i. if you're the type of person that has all the gadgets, then for sure you have a good digital camera. so 9300i is best for you. 9500 camera is just for quick snapshots and video capture which you can then send or email right away using its built-in email client. the camera isnt that of high quality image but not really bad.
now if you want both wi-fi and camera in one phone and you dont really mind the low quality of the camera, big size of the phone, and you have enough budget to spend: then get 9500. this phone has bigger widescreen compared to 9300 and 9300i.
my suggestion, get 9300i. its smaller and more compact. EDGE data transfer for 9300i is Class 10 that runs upto 236.8 kbps, compared to 9500's Class 6 which runs upto 177.6 kbps only. another thing is that Nokia 9300i's wi-fi is 802.11g which has fastest maximum speed and supports more simulatenous users. unlike in Nokia 9500 which has 802.11b and has slowest maximum speed and supports fewer simultaneous users.
but then again, it all depends on you. i suggest you go to the nearest Nokia shop and try both 9500 and 9300i to check which one you like better. im just giving my own opinion and i dont want you to get disappointed as you have your own free will =)
cheers!
