I got this phone for almost a year now... I dont mind it... you can play game, watch movie, read your download books, picture, video, mp3s, you can use it in your meeting, in your presentation... what else you need? too big??? well... use bluetooth... so you dont have to carry it all the time... or get another fancy phone like 7380 and divert all your call to your smaller phone... too slow? shovel 2g mmc card. hmmmm im just wondering? why its says here that its an older phone than 9300??? ewww... i will not get 9300 duh!

    chix....

    nokia 9500 in philippine peso
P 40,000 with 1 year warranty @ Graphics, Cagayan de Oro City
P 38,000 with 1 week warranty @ Graphics, Cagayan de Oro City

    P 42,000 @ Games and Gadget

    * mostly out of stock, or order basis.
    * Prices are dated since 2005. I still don't know for the 1st & 2nd quarter of 2006. Probably still above P 35,000. the Price is stable because supply is constantly controled by suppliers to protect its market value, unless 9300i is released or a new version of 9500 is released and There's few 2nd hand unit sold in bargain shops.

I bought a 9500 and found: Bad keyboard, the 9210 was far better. Very slow. It quitted working after 3 months. Sent to Singapore from NZ 11 January, never had it back. The Care Centre is a mockery: Nobody cares. I paid 1200 sing. dollars and I regret. I have to go to a lawyer and proceed against Nokia. It s going to cost more than the value of the set, but I am compelled to do it. is anybody joining me?

The NZ Care Centre is unable to give any answer. The Singapore Care Centre, in Wheelock Place, No answer. NEVER SEND A PHONE FOR REPAIR BY MAIL.They loose or keep it and then you fight against a dark wall.

it is the greatest of all communicator cellphones. Eventhough it is huge, it is very very usable.. it has a wi-fi.. camera.. unlike the nokia 9300..

I used to have a Nokia 9210i for one year then switched to the Sony Ericsson P900 because it had Bluetooth, a camera and great sound (as all Sony Ericsson phones). Two P900's after, i switched to its successor, the P910i since it boasted to have a screen with 262k color resolution, Office applications, and some welcome improvements over the P900.
I only used the P910i as my phone and mp3 player because it's camera was not good and even having the 262k screen failed to impress (the 9500 Communicator's 65k internal display is so much better). It's Office applications are merely viewers and yet don't serve well.
I have been really frustrated so I had to get the Nokia 9500.
I've been a happy and contented user of the 9500 ever since I got it. The version of my communicator's software is 5.22 and really works fine.
This device, compared to normal PDA's, Smartphones, and Pocket PC's, is a stand-alone device. You can create, edit or simply view Office documents with ease. I for one have read Dan Brown's books in Microsoft Word format on my 9500. I also have Viking's DVD Player installed and have downloaded several AVI movie clips from DivX which always makes people's jaw drop when I show them the clarity and quality of viewing clips on full screen with my Communicator. My mp3 collection sound great on Nokia stereo earphones -this definitely gets me going all day.
This really is still the ultimate phone/multimedia/business tool, however, Nokia should soon release the improved version which supports 3G, has a better camera with perhaps at least a 2 megapixel just like the popular N series phones and even just a VGA on the communicator interface for video calls. The next communicator should also have a TV out just like Samsung's D600 and a 3.5mm jack to replace Nokia's Pop Port, just like what could be found on the upcoming N91, a better sounding speaker similar to the Nokia 6630's. The outer display should host at least a 262k screen and the main screen should have 16 million colors just like on the upcoming N92.
Nokia knows how to make the ultimate communicator, I'm sure of this, but of course, for business intentions, they might not give us everything so we'll have a reason to buy the next one.
Let us just hope that their philosophy changes.
Please offer us a device we can use for the current technology (you knew 3G was around yet the 9500 does not support it -we could have been making most out of the Communicator's fantastic display). Most of us need an all-in-one device. We don't want to buy several devices just because a particular feature can be found on this one and can't on the other.
The features I mentioned are all existing technologies so there's no reason the suggestions above can't be considered.
The Nokia Communicator line up is always the most expensive so give the top class the finest and latest you could give.
With all these said, I still strongly suggest the 9500 to the people wanting the best. It may not have 3G yet but it still is the best!

                              To Svorc

Yes you can, I've just got mine change while I'm back in Indonesia for holidays, provided there is a nokia care centre in your country, they could always fix it

I recommend you to send it to nokia authorize centre as this nokia 9500 is a bit complicated phone which defer from any other nokia phone

hey guys n9500 is not that glamorous nor classy phone. My cousin who's in 1st year highschool has one for taking notes and doing stuff (porn clips), my driver even has n9500 he got it from blackmarket, it cost half the price in cellshops around the Philippines. As for me my second phone is 9500 because its bulky and i use it for taking notes in class and watching movies while waiting for my ride. for those who are so proud about the phone's price or bragging in the forum for having this phone... forget it! this phone is cheap! It has "CHEAP" written all over it.
