My 9500 is a piece of JUNK. Would be happy to sell it on eBay and buy a HP6365 at half the retail price of a 9500.

sw.4.51- lockups continually, wifi dodgy, slow slow soooo slow.
Poor quality control on Nokia's beta testing teams part, sack them NOKIA !
AND... why oh why...does the Nokia PD-2 flash unit not work with the 9500????????????????????

Dont buy this phone untill Nokia releases acceptable firmware.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!! What a phone. Can not beleive people knock this phone. If you want a radio on a phone then you should'nt be looking at a phone like this. Come on people its a business phone not a toy. Granted yes it could do with a vibrate function and a better screen on the front. But just open the think up and use it like it should be used. Well done nokia keep up the good work. 10/10 great phone!

Does anybody know where could I get new Flash plugin? There is Flash plugin version 5 in nokia 9500, but many websites require version 6 or even 7.
        Thanks!

I've had a 9500 since it was first released in the uk at the end of last year. Orginally, it had lots of software problems such as the browser crashing. The new firmware upgrade fixed a lot of the problems, but the upgrade process was very long (3 weeks). 1 month ago the left hinge broke (mainly my fault) and I had to get a replacement. I was lucky that I was insured and got a replacement after a few arguments with o2 about getting stock. On the whole I'm happy with it but I wish it was lighter and thinner.

well,i've always loved nokia phones so i thought i should go for the best then i bought the 9500,the inner screen of mine is messed up now cos its so delicate it easily gets scratched.you hardly get softwares that are compatible with the phone.it doesnt have call vibrate.no screen saver,no keyboard back light so its difficult to play games in the dark.it takes time to load,no radio, its so heavy, and it doesnt come with a waste pouch.i think nokia should work on the phone so we can buy the next communicator.

Using 9500 from the day it was launched,

Tired of Repairs. The part get broken the keys remove, Its not that the phone has fallen & this happens.

Even the engineer's at Nokia Care centre many a times refuse to give any answer to the queries raised.

The Contact Book runs very slow.

If the phone does not get Hang, then there is a problem. It gets hanged atleast 5-6 times in a week.

Better should not plan for this phone till they make Upgrade.

Nokia Do some thing, Have been using Nokia since the start of Mobile in India.

Got one of these, actually onto my sixth in as many months. All of them broke! What a real shame about the totally useless button on the front;it controls almost everything but is so sensitive its a real gamble. You'll spend more time going back and forward trying to get something you want than using it. A real shame after such a long wait. The old 9210i was much better even without all the extra bits. My advice...don't get one, it's rubbish! I called Nokia about it, they told me mine was the first complaint they'd heard and if I didn't like it I should buy a different phone!

                            Jayson,
Excellent to do list for Nokis for their future communicator...(they really need to pull up their socks...9500 rather shabby piece of technology...suprising thugh Nokia normally comes up with some good stuff).

What i would like them to add is

                            1) Satellite phone so we can be in touch from anywhere

                            2) carry case to have a pouches for
                            - drivers licence
                            - credit cards (i know ewallet but that is a few years away in India)
                            - visiting cards
                            - Cash

For the price & the size both the outer display & the inner screen are a joke. Video playbacks are pathetic with v e r y limited options. Upgrade the camera pleeeze!!!

I thought this was a stylish phone with good functionality until I realized it has no vibrate!!!!!!!!!! So no being quite and discrete in meetings. You also are unable to use sim and phone memory together. If you want your notification of meetings with a single beep, forgot it. This phone will only work for people who want everyone to know they have it.. Very disappointing
